Bards Should WM Toggle For DPS During Mechanics!!

Any melee job or "normal" casting job has to STOP dps to do stuff like separate/get close/intercept balls for some Alexander mechanics.

If you all love dps while moving around so much, turn WM off while doing mechanics. Then turn it back on after!

And I sure hope you do toggle WM during the last neverreap boss. Most likely you'll do more dps by dropping WM when the boss decides to run around everywhere. BLMs pretty much rage during that fight.

Oh my god you're a saint! I can't believe nobody noticed we can turn minuet off and on again in a fight until now. Thank god you told us. This changes everything.

I don't toggle GB. In all honesty you don't need to at least for MCH. I can still maintain DPS while doing mechanics. You just have to get use to it and plan ahead. I think the devs wanted MCH to keep it on bc of procs, GB skills, rapid fire and reloads. There really is no reason at all to toggle GB off. I'm not sure how WM works but if it doesn't work the same way as MCH's GB then yea I can see toggling WM off during heavy mechanics to maintain dps.

I find it funny how some bards act like getting out of Aoes with their massive 1.5s casting time is impossible while classes with 2.5-4second casting time does it just fine

Then there's me who, even with constant firing without WM on I still get hit by everything.

GB and WM work exactly the same way. That's considering what GB and WM, and ONLY GB and WM do, not what BRDs and MCHs can do with them.

Gauss Barrel is a tad different, and its clear that it was especially designed for MCH with all the procs allowing for free movement. So far BRDs only get either Straighter Shot procs (which most of the time don't even work and cause a cast regardless, kinda annoying and drains tp), or to crossclass feint and use that with WM. Its clear the devs want BRDs to be in WM as much as possible, but yes, for Neverreap I would suggest taking it off during the add phase. In Alexander you can keep it on pretty much 100%, since there's nothing remotely challenging to dodge like Tornados that seem to lock on to you and track your movement.

Shh. If you do not want the flavor of the month bard to turn into machinist you need to hush. Keep telling bard players about that and soon ou will see 20+ machinist in every 24 man alliance raid when it comes out.

With WM on is a semi mobile mode, you still have a room to cast and evade because boss casting time is much longer than that.
