New way to gain MGP? Idea!

So.. I was thinking, a lot of people only go to the Gold Saucer for two things these days. Mini Cactpot and Jumbo Cactpot.

why not add a new way to gain MGP for those that want the 1 mil MGP prizes?

Like say a turn in thing? Similar to the daily Grand Company turn ins? Each day they ask for something different and make it a monster drop or a FATE completion. And it's different for each level.

Ideas? Comments? Suggestions?

A suggestion I have is take a lot of the BS RNG out of Triad and make the damn tournaments fair. That'd bring most of the people back.

Add more games and at least add more racetracks for chocobo racing. Gold Saucer quickly worn out its welcome.

lol, you can add hundreds of tracks and the people will still run only sagolii. as long as you get the same amount of exp and mgp on the longest and the shortest track the people will always run only the shortest ^^

new tracks are nice to have, but there is much more wrong with the chocorace than missing tracks. if they don't fix it adding new tracks is only a waste of time and money.

The same could be said for much of the Gold Saucer's attractions, their novelty has worn off an there for the place has been largely abandoned. Time spent trying to grind for vanity items can and is being better spent preparing for new raids and leveling new jobs. To put it simply, no one gives a damn about a pointless casino. Since getting my hair style book I my self rarely visit the place anymore. There's simply no point.

yes, the problem is the massive grind. the gold saucer should more work like an arcade hall, like the gold saucer in FF7. so you come from time to time between the raids and other stuff to play a little, have fun and that's it. but our gold saucer works more like you are grinding the whole day and then you go to the raid to have a little fun between the grind :x

My opinion is that at least one GATE, if not more than one GATE, should be occurring at any one time and that they should occur more often than once every 30 minutes.

More GATEs and all GATEs should give decent rewards for time spent.

Talking to a Gatekeep should tell you what GATEs will be occurring at each square within the next hour and 15 minutes.

Casinos also have many things to do...

I really do wish they could do a little something to breathe some life back into the GS. I know ours in Adamantoise is dead 90% of the time unfortunately. It's stinks because it was so fun for the first week or two.

I feel like giving us more MGP for selling our Triple Triad cards would be pretty nice.

Maybe they just don't want players get the 1m prize and not come back agian... ^^;

the 1 mil prize is the prize for the jumbo cactpot. why playing jumbo cactpot if there is nothing expensive to buy if you win?

the problem is not that you have to grind all those mgp, the problem is we have only 2 games wich makes no fun at all after you played them for a while. was farming 200k with the cardgame and i wanted to shoot myself... bokorace is just frustrating RNG...

Gold Saucer is already a ghost town on Balmung.

It's a ghost town everywhere. Everyone shows up twice; once for their mini cactpot tickets and again for their jumpo cactpot. That's it. Those mini games scattered around give 10 MGP at most, and the GATES have enough time in between to make you just miss them after a duty. I still do the gates from time to time, but it's still almost all rng based and grindy the rest of the way. People just gave up on Siren.

People haven't gotten it and its already dead and not coming back. And perhaps to solve the "not come back" issue they could spend lest time filling up the cash shop and simply add more 1mil prizes once the old ones are adequately dated. Or you know, add anything new to the MGP rewards... (They did add a DRK GS but nothing else since release).

But that aside, Adding new games and such to the Saucer would be pretty nice. The idea of a GATE being up at all times would be nice as well, but I don't think It'd get me in the Saucer. Chocobo Racing was fun enough TBH, perhaps they should add new tracks and change how much MGP you get based on how long the average run time of the track is (Perhaps a multiplayer based on the tracks length in yalms added to all but Sagohli), if balanced right it should add more reason to do stuff but the shortest.

And some don't even do that :I, or either. Some folks I play with had forgot the Golden Saucer was a thing because they hadn't returned there in such a long while. Its just been too long since its seen a real update. Triple Triad has been getting new cards and thats lovely, but I fear that GS is going to fall to the wayside and grow stagnant entirely because SE will focus on reskinning raids. :(

Just give me actual casino games and I'll spend more time there I was expecting to at least be able to play poker or riichi mahjong with people at tables, yes TT is nice and all but why didn't they add stuff that is already a thing? Is it really that much of a pain to get the rights to these games that already exist? There is surely far much less dev time in porting over a game than making a whole new one.

Give me some slot machines make the Mog crane actually drop prizes and not MGP, who pays into a crane machine to get more tokens out?

Hell give me those penny drop things and virtual chocobo races like those automated horse races where you pick a colour and usually lose. :p

If there is no way to win big and you have very little to lose there is no sense of risk or fun. It is very difficult to run out of MGP without having bought something at the moment, so let me put 50k MGP on red and lose it all to RNG. :cool:

But really the main problem is you have 4 games 3 of which are the exact same thing with a different skin, there is nothing that feels different nothing that feels like "I want to try that one more time I feel like I'm going to get lucky" its just "Oh my timing sucked, Oh well"

Not to mention when there are people around you don't actually interact with them at all yes they are there but they don't have any affect on anyone else what so ever so they might as well not even be there. They need games that people can drop in and out so that you will interact with other players when they decide to play the same game as you and it affects you in some way either mixing up the cards dealt due to extra players or you have to compete to win for a bonus or something.

The Minicact pot has been really kind to me. I've won the 10k and I generally make at least as much as I pay for the tickets. I made almost 3k after the price of the tickets today. Other than that, since I do Triple Triad, I farm the imperial dude. He's really easy with a beastkin deck. The battles only take a short time and it's an easy 120mgp a pop.
