This tank will not be running sastasha again anytime soon.

This is rediculous, I'm a level 59 warrior and 4 days in a row I've got sastasha for my low level roulette. I can only deal with this shit so many times, and my limit has been reached. I don't mind if someone is actually appropriate level, but on all 4 days everyone has been level sync'd. The xp just isn't worth the bullshit you deal with in there as a tank. DF needs to be fixed again. It seems to have reverted to crap.

The point of roulette is to get different dungeons, there needs to be some standard to this. I've suggested before making so that you do the highest level dungeon the lowest level member of the group can do, that would still keep it pretty random and maximize the xp gain without over doing it, especially with the 3.0 xp adjustments.


I'd also like to see it so that if this stupid shit happens where I keep getting the same dungeon day after day, eventually there's a lockout where I can not get that dungeon in my roulette for a week. 3 is my max, anymore than that I'm just going to leave.

Well yes, but my later point covers that. Not a single New person all 4 days. I don't mind helping new people but this is just rng stupidity. The algorithm would take minor adjustments to prevent this kind of repetition.

Yeah, but it's horribly frickin' boring. A little variety never hurt anyone, yeah? I'm leveling this dark knight job and GAAAAAWD, I've been stuck doing Haukke Manor two out of every three runs. I used to like that place.

It's only boring because it's low level and most of your abilities are locked out.

It's quite likely that some sort of load balancing with a small amount of randomness is done server side to land you on an instance server with low load when noone in the group you get matched into is queueing for a specific dungeon.

Indeed... If SE would change how the levelsynching worked, so that you could use all abilities learned, it would help a lot.

It was a minor annoyance during 2.x... It's more than a minor annoyance now in 3.x...
It's going to be a major hassle as we go forward and level cap is raised once again in the future.

Could be worse. You could be getting Toto-rak 4 days in a row... life is hell.

Just because their level Synced not mean that they've actually done the dungeon already or that they can do a higher level dungeon.

Well you can't progress the MSQ unless you do satasha. Message still gonna show up once you enter it the first time.

I'm a little tired of getting Hulbreaker Isle and Satasha HM, but at least Satasha HM has good boss music to make up for it.

It's the instance for the 30ish range, which is coincidently, the level that the new classes start as. So it's reasonable for a disproportionate amount to be located at that range.

Exactly. I've been getting a huge number of Haukke runs lately and almost every one of them has had a new DRK or AST.

Yesterday I got Lv59 that one for my low level roulette..but I was Lv60.. ^^;

I have tanked Satasha several times as both WAR and DRK and I don't have a problem. Its just the luck of the RNG. When I do the EXroul, I almost ALWAYS get Keeper of the Lake.

Chances are, even with the best algorithm possible, there'll still be an amount of luck involved getting your fav dungeon/not least fav dungeons/not same dungeon in a row.

There could be an additional mechanic to the dungeon roulette.

Example:

Not same dungeon 2 times in a row.
Favored dungeons list.
Least fav dungeon list.
etc.

Why are you even spamming lowbie DR if you find that getting thrown into low lvl dungeon is annoying for you? Since you only get the bonus xp for DR once per day then why don't you just select 5 different HW dungeons since you don't want to have your skills locked out from sync either and just wait out for DR to pop any of those 5 instead? Come on, instead of whining over something this trivial, maybe you could just do some improvisation on your end for this? It's not something devs need to fix because its RNG but you on the other hand could have just manually select what you dungeons you prefer to play when you are given the options.

I've gotten 3 tamtara in 3 days as a healer. I feel you.

Wow, that's some bad luck. Dusk Vigil is the most common one I get on low level roulette.

My luck seems to go up dramatically once I hit 28 and Haukke manor becomes available. It's the highest dungeon that's immediately available to these fresh level 30 jobs.

But it's not just that. Getting thrown into something like Ifrit normal is a blessing. Full roulette reward in about a 15th of the time.

Below 28 though is grim. Just as you said. Sastasha after Sastasha. It's easy, it's boring, it gives depressing kill EXP. And although the queue is made to help newcomers, you sometimes can't do anything to help some of the cringe that you're faced with. The least they could do is let us use a nerfed version of our later skills. Everyone would be a winner. We get to keep our minds engaged (and we won't have to worry about our hotbars being updated beyond a now-obsolete rotation) while new players see a showcase of what they have to look forward to. It's easy to mask our science-defying loss of power with number decreases, but when we lose our bread and butter skills it both looks and feels wrong.

Oh and buff that kill exp. Even the jump between sastasha to brayflox makes an enormous difference in payout, let alone higher.
