Will EU FFXIV CD Key work in USA

If the user intends pay monthly through crysta?

Does anybody know?

I can't say for 100% certainty, but when I was looking to buy the game, I noticed EU copies of the game (or CD keys) were about $15 cheaper than NA/US ones. So I researched if I could add a EU CD key to a NA SE account, and the answer I found was no. It won't let you. It might work if you made an EU SE account, though. Not sure.

What I read could have been completely wrong, but after reading that, I just bought the game off Amazon for $10 more to be safe. Maybe someone will have a definite answer. Good luck!

I am sure it would be a problem if he was using click to buy, but he would be using crysta so that is a definite, so if anyone knows more

Your SE account is tied to your region. Your game's region locks it to that region's SE account. So it'll work fine with an EU Square Enix account from the United States. I don't know what limitations using an EU account from the US has, if any.

If you use a EU account you most pay in EU money and have a EU bank and have a EU address at least that what people been saying who try a NA on a EU account.

Hm.. maybe it will work. There were ways to play NA Versions of FFXI in EU and vice versa. So i think there will be also a way to do so in FFXIV.

FFXI is diff ffxiv is lock if you have a EU key you most have a EU account and pay with a EU bank account and have a EU address link.

It is locked due Data to the Region? That would suck =/

We have friends in Europe, if he relays his info through their address, this would be okay? Wheres the ToS when you need it

They can play with setting up a EU account and putting in the code and added and using the crysta setting and buy the cards from gamestop or walgreens in he leve in NA. But to pay by CC you would need EU address/bank account.

Remember the game is F2P so just setting up crysta is free and don't have to add any bank account.

yes it might work, i use an EU CD key, and i'm living in south america lol (Chile :D)

Someone in the US can use an EU key.

First create an EU SE account, then register the EU FFXIV key.
Once that's done choose pay with crysta and add crysta with a paypal account.

Problem solved!

You can use your own paypal account to do this and it will automatically transfer the money to the currency you need to pay with.

Ya but you be paying more a month but i guess not a issue seeing how most Games are 14.99

but what happen your friend could not find a NA CD key?
