Seems we wont be seeing new classes for sometimes, and I am ok with that. We have plenty at the moment and they need a good looking into to be fixed and adjusted.

"A11. We’re currently working on adjusting the existing jobs, and don’t have any time to consider new jobs. New jobs will probably be introduced in 4.0. "
Guess that is enough about the new classes.

It is quite a lot of work, so I'm not really surprised nor bothered. I would rather them focus on the PvE content than more Jobs, I think we are fine as it is.

The best part is that they are giving us Afro's in patch 3.1. seems I must wait 1 year to become Afro Samurai, but it is not to late to be Afro Ninja!

It takes about a year for the team to create a new Job for FFXIV, since they need to make things like skills, cutscenes, quests, weapons, armour and new individual animations. Due to that, they want to try and create a few jobs and release them all at once with the introduction of a new Expansion pack.

They have mentioned that they wish they hadn't released NIN between expansions. There were a lot of difficulties apparently. So they've learned their lesson and will only introduce them during expansions, most likely.

We all know SAM is going to be one of the new jobs, cause it was either that or DRK and we got DRK. So 4.0 will probably have something to do with the Doman homeland, cause Yoshia said Doma culture is based off of Japan.
I could see near the end of 3.x series a SAM pop up in MSQ. -

so my guess is that we will be getting 4 jobs with 4.0 - melee/range dps, tank, and healer
and its smart to gate future jobs behind the expac pay way- jobs take alot of time to make in this game. Its not like powers made in dcuo. The devs do not like to half ass things so they want quality.
i'm fine with waiting b/c we already know Red Mage/ SAM are coming...just need our current jobs to reach their peak potential.
but idk...i have to say im really excited for the future of this game and glad i invested in it thus far.
