I'm pretty sure most people know what I can't get over
:'(
I can't get over the point that Lady Ice Heart aka Shiva had to die makes me cry every time I think about it.
I miss Ysayle. I felt like we were going to wrangle up all the Scions and make her an official member.
(I mean, according to the laws of japanese writing, if there ain't a corpse, it ain't dead, so it's possible she'll return. There's also the thing with the Echo giving people the power to avoid dying. So we'll see. Until then, the sads.)
Edit: The loss of hot chocolate man still burns my soul.
For me, it might be the fact...
that Y'stola might be up for a really terrible death... her eyes turned white... I even do not want to know what happens next :(
Stop killing my fav characters SE, first Moenbryda and now Ysayle. Although I am still hoping they will comeback... somehow...
The story was epic, no doubt. The story just keeps getting better and better. I am calling it:
They are going to "find" a new scion every patch, 3.1 will be Minfilia 3.2 will be Yda and Papalymo and 3.3 will be Thancred somehow.
I will never be over Haurchefant. :*(
Why oh why SE?
We didn't see Nanamo's "corpse". We saw her fall down on the floor, only the really annoying lady in waiting approached her to "confirm" that she was "dead". When that scene happened, I told my friends that I bet she didn't die and it was a scheme turned against Teledji.
I do hope Ysayle comes back in some form (even just speaking through the Echo). I don't think she'll be doing the body-skip thing that Ascians do, since that would make her no better than the Ascians. Even Hydaelyn did not intervene during the Battle of Carteneau... it was Louisoux who saved the Warrior of Light by using that grand time/space spell.
I think the only thing that makes Ysayle's death "better" so to speak (or less bitter) was that she had an awesome albeit short fight... Haurchefant was struck down with just one attack.
Imagine for a moment that an Asciian somehow disguises himself from the Echo/the WoL and appeals to the WoL.
WoL says "I wish Haurchefant was still around..." and BOOM Haurchefant comes back as a Primal worthy of his House.
Wouldn't that be....trippy?
Loving the story main story so far, though a bit quick with the ul'dah situation, one thing I am very curious about is...
the moon part at the very end, some people in my server reported about a random large airship floating by in several areas, getting a sneaking suspicion of a Lunar Whale...
Moenbryda was the devs saying "sorry, there's only room for one important Roegadyn character in this story and that's Merlwyb"
Ysayle felt like a complete cop-out and frankly they need to stop killing off the good female characters in the story (based on Matoya and Y'shtola's dialogue, I think it's HEAVILY implied that Y'shtola is going to die For Real This Time at some point and I don't like it)
No because it will be even more sorrow to the pile because even though this is a Fake Haurchefant he may die saying a sad good bye mentioning how if he was the real Haurchefant he would say *insert sad speech here* after the WoL kill him due to this Fake Haurchefant being a Aether hungry monster that endangers everything Haurchefant spent his enitre life fighting for.
Yoshi made a comment aboutabout wanting to take us to the moon. So it looks like it'll be coming in probably 3.1. I believe Yoshi mentioned in a live letter that they will be doing the same rotation as 2.1-2.5. So we got the 8 man raid in 3.0, which means we will see a 24 man raid in 3.1
I really hope there is a Wandering minstrel (hard) version of this magnificent fight.
Gah, Haurchefant... I feel like he's the only character I genuinely liked, without any sarcasm.
Delving into the deepest of spoiler territory here, I guess we're sure now that we're going to the moon. Something tells me that Lahabrea might not be gone for good; that would seem too easy, and we ourselves didn't kill him, the archbishop did, and maybe some warped combo of lahabrea and thordan will return at some point. As for the warrior of darkness... it's interesting that this is a warrior, while the midlander we're used to from the trailers changed to a dragoon in one of the last trailers. Are there two twin characters perhaps?
I feel like as a playerbase, we're going to need a support group for this.
That scene though.... :( My other half was like "What's wrong?" and I'm sadfacing at the screen while hotchocolatedude is falling back with lttle trails of saliva and blood coming from his mouth...
Feels were indeed had. :(
It would be but my more immediate concern, having completed the level 60 Summoner quest is thatI mean they put his grave out and visitable by the steel vigil after all. I can see a quest leading us back there in the future.one of Lahabrea's 12th minions will sneak in and take over his corpse and then we have to deal with that...
Stop the spoiler ;)

Imo 3.0 story was only amazing do to the fact of
- new characters we've never seen before
- evil bad guys that are not garleans like wow for once its not 100% garleans.
- new areas that weren't from 1.0
-killing off / reviving characters
( 2.0 made deaths just be like ok thnx can i have ur stuff deaths )
Moenbryda was the 1st death to actually be in depth & have impact.
-super pope & knights of the round fight 100x yes omg way better than 2.0 garlean ending.
SE really took their time making HW its own thing rather than just focusing on garleans garleans garleans and the ocasional lé gasp allagans again.
