Alexander Savage loot system suggestion

Can I suggest this loot system for savage? Assuming it won't be the same as Alexander normal.

-Each floor drops 2 pieces of gear, weekly lockout whether you get something or not. Last turn drops weapon and body piece.
-Each floor drops 1 token for everyone
-You can bypass entry lockout by partying with members who haven't cleared the floor that week, but you can't roll on gear. Everyone still gets 1 token even if they cleared it before.

Tokens:
Tokens help complete your missing piece(s) of a set
-Any accessory or belt: 12
-Head, hands, feet: 20
-Body, weapon: 30 (only after you clear the final floor)


I think the loot system in Alexander normal forces you to repeat floors (and get gear faster if you get something for each floor) and make you get tired of the content sooner.

i have a feeling that savage mode isnt going to be dropping any gear at all except Floor 4 will probably drop weapons.

im guessing savage is only going to drop upgrade items to upgrade the alex normal gear to Ilvl 200 and make it dyeable

That would be terrible...it would be the same as locking end game gear behind hunts...

While it keeps veterans returning to Normal mode, it will also significantly raise the difficulty for people who are catching up to receive tokens, because even though I'm decked out in full 190, I'd still want those tokens for my other jobs so I'm gonna roll need on everything and settle for the first one I get. This will minimize the amount of runs I have to do in Normal mode per week, too. It'll definitely promote a speed-run mentality in the DF for Alex-N.

I do recall, however, that Savage loot was gonna remain the classical setup, like Coils. But that was a few months ago...

It's already been stated that Savage will be the same gear, but with a higher ilvl and dye-able.

= = do people not watch live letters or somethin'.

i do hope they will go with an upgrade system for the sake of our inventory... 7 more token will be a pain!!!

I thought this could be the case, and I don't have any problem with it.
It'd be way better than the way coils dropped gear.
There are some pieces of high allagan/dreadwyrm I have NEVER seen dropping, and I did each and every turn of coils at least 50 times.

No part of alexander is behind hunts...

I think they should change it up just a little:

Each floor drops 2 different items: one for left side and one for right side

Accessories: 2
Helm, Belt, Gloves, feet: 4
Body, Legs: 8


Left is for left side item drops, right is for right side item drops
Floor 1: 1, 1
Floor 2: 1, 1
Floor 3: 3, 1
Floor 4: 3, 1

Keep it the same once you roll on an item you get locked out from that floor for a week.

With this setup we are not waiting 4 weeks to get our body piece, but we are not getting more loot than what we are getting now.

It takes 32 Items to get all your left side
It takes 10 items to get your right side.

It will take 4 weeks to get all of your right side items
It will take 4 weeks for accessories.

Total of 8 weeks.

So with this setup it takes the same amount of time to get gear as the current setup but you have more options to choose what you want and get completed gear instead of having items setting in your inventory.

The problems I see with this is that if everyone wants there body or leg piece it will take 29 runs. What would make someone choose an accessorie and belt, gloves or helm over body and legs. Maybe bis from the new tomes?

Alex savage will have it's own loot system. It's one of the topics of friday's live letter.

It will probably be items that can be used to upgrade the Prototype gear.
