Please Allow an Account Wide Unlock of Post-2.55 Content

Would it be possible to allow an account-wide (or server-wide) unlock of Heavensward content after completing 2.55 on your first character? I know that having alts is not popular with this game, but some people do have them.

Only one of my characters is "the" Warrior of Light, and he doesn't want to do F.A.T.E.s to level all of the classes. I have alts because I like having characters of the different races and I like using the naming conventions. I also like never running out of rested xp, leve allowances and sidequests.

Now that my first character is in Ishgard, he would love to sneak his alt buddies in the back door. He somehow got his retainers in, after all.

Please consider it SE!

LOL, I can agree with this, even if it let me just do the BASIC MSQ in 2.0 and 3.0, as well as only doing essential "fight primal" missions on 2.1-2.55.

I think after the first time, you CHOSE to do it 6 more times.

You should also get experience bonuses if you have 1 60. All other 60s should get an experience bonus for every 60 you have.

Don't need bots to be given an easier way of screwing with the market.

No. It's your choice to level alts instead of just using the armory system.

Considering that having multiple characters on one world is a privilege you have to pay extra for (if you're paying monthly), it really is strange that the game's design is so hostile to alts.

Account-wide pets/mounts would be nice

As someone who used to run 3 alts: if you really liked alts, all of them would have finished the story and got more or less the same progression on everything.

If you're only using alts to take advantage of weekly caps, daily roulette bonuses and raid lockouts, then...that's what you get for neglecting the quests.

Nice. I'll get there eventually, lol. I don't actually mind repeating the MSQ, and even though I wish it were shorter, I don't mind redoing all the patch content again either. I do wish I could do it on the new jobs for some of them, but oh well. If it's to keep out RMT and not just to get people to do the story, even better. I hope it works.

And I do actually like my alts quite a bit; I don't just have them for weekly caps (they are mostly not even at level 50). I have them because I like them. I know, it's weird. I neglected them because I was finishing my master's degree. I'm done now, but that's quite a bit of catching up to do. One day!

I'm an altaholic too and while I could see some of the benefits of allowing Ishgard to be unlocked, say server-wide, my non-50 alts really have no business being in Ishgard. They'd be as useless as Tataru. They'd be homess (no inn access yet), unable to find any meaningful work (no quest access), and about the ONLY thing they could do would be to unlock the new jobs there. For which, you actually do still need a level 50.

The MSQ once you hit 50 can be ground out in a weekend if you know what you're doing, so to be honest I'm not sure I see the benefit of it unless they lower the requirements for the new jobs to 30 - which they won't.

That's a really good point, there might not be much for them to do. I certainly wouldn't expect to be able to take a character lower than level 50 there, (I would love to take my level 50 gatherer there though, and she hasn't seen combat since like, level 25, but that's another issue that the crafters have already lamented elsewhere). And yeah, there is no way they will lower the job requirements as you said. I wonder if you have to complete 2.55 to get access to the new quests for the old jobs or if it's dependent on level.
