Questions about Alex

Since a lot of people seem to have stumbled across the information already (I can't find it, I looked)...

#1: Is it locked to only preformed parties? No duty finder at all despite it being normal mode (I assume a part of the story)?


#2: Is loot infinite? Or weekly lockout... would really suck to be weekly lockout tbh but ignore my opinion...

#3: Are there tokens involved? Any idea how many we get?

#4: Gear dropped is i170?



Idealistic situation: I get my MCH to 60 tonight and then gear it in Alex gear via grinding it out in duty finder.

1. Mystery, but EX primals aren't DFable so it's likely NM Alex won't be either.
2 & 3. http://galleries.guildlaunch.net/375...ot26907Pop.png - Unsure if loot will also drop or if it will purely be a token system.
4. Higher than i170 and i180, though a mystery as to how much.

Weapons have never come from the "easy mode" raids (CT style raids), so I don't forsee them coming from Alex Normal either. But I could be wrong.

The weapons were shown in the trailer, and this isn't an "easy mode" raid. I think it's safe to assume those crystal weapons will be obtainable from Alex, but we'll see very soon I guess.

Alex Normal is intended to be an easy raid, one that you do so you can experience and enjoy the storyline without having to put in the significant amount of work that Coil required. Alex Savage is the actual raid.

Anyway, the weapon would likely drop from the final boss if anything, and wouldn't be a token.

Basically this. They would have been better off calling it Alex (Easy) and Alex (Normal) imo

I'm aware of that, but there's no way it's going to be face roll easy like the CT raids.

The scrip npc vendors in Idyllshire won't sell to me. Are they locked to Alex raid or am I missing something else?

They are unlocked with a lvl 60 quest you get after getting a craft or gatherer to lvl 60. The quest is located in Revenant's Toll from the lady who has the collectible unlock quest.

The scrip npc vendors in Idyllshire don't have anything different than the Revenant's Toll ones at the moment.

Ah, I haven't gotten a crafter past 50.

Unless it's a mistranslation, Normal Alexander sounds like the original Coil's difficulty as I do perceive it as "harder than extremes, easier than Savage". This puzzles me.

I remember hearing normal Alex is the equilivent of Coil plus echo while Hard is like Coil Savage.

There is some mistranslation going on somewhere, prior to this it was stated that Alexander Story was:Between CT and Normal Coil w/ Echo.

no. but if it's a general comment like that, one can assume that it is more difficult than the hardest EX primal.

that's the thing. none of the EX primals are that difficult. garuda and ifrit wasn't that difficult (just dps checks), titan's main difficulty was the edge and a bit of coordination. levi's was similar. ramoo was not, and i haven't done shiva but that looks pretty trivial too.

bismark is a massive dps check.

ravana is procedural like titan.

Well it's up now. It's all pretty easy. Took about 2 hours to clear the entirety of it.

As about primal extreme level difficulty, more or less. Mileage varies. Really not that bad.
