Is Alexander (Normal mode) launching on Tuesday?

We've been told that Alexander (Normal mode) would launch "approximately 2 weeks" after official launch, which would be this Tuesday, July 7th.

We've received no word on whether or not this schedule is still being met. Can we get an answer from the community team on the date for this? Thanks.

Doubt it , we've probably would have heard about it by now. SE doesn't really ''spring'' things up on us

It's not springing anything on anyone.

We've known for quite a long time now that Alex will be released 2 weeks after the official 3.0 launch.


I don't see any reason for them to delay it, and just because they haven't mentioned it doesn't mean things have changed.

Naturally, no one can know for sure without an official statement but I'm leaning on the side of it releasing Tuesday like its been planned to for awhile now.

I call it ''springing'' up because no ''maintenance'' warnings have been put up yet and we've heard very little about pre-2.5 FcOB we knew way in advanced , official dates and everything weeks prior. I'm not saying it won't happen Tuesday I'd just be surprised. I'm looking forward to it but not banking on it. I'll come to this post and congratulate you if you're right

They never gave a substantial notice for the times of minor patches, 24-48 hours in advance is the norm.

Yeah but Minor patches normally include QoL things and bug fixes not Raids and extra dungeon content

We already know they will be doing a maint next week acutally.

So most likely Alexander is being added in, and thus also a good time to add in the hotfixes since players wouldn't be on anyways.

They were very clear about the timeline for this during the live letter at E3 prior to early access. Yes it's coming Tuesday, and then 2 weeks after that savage mode is coming.

Tuesday will be Alexander (normal), then two weeks after that (Alexander Savage) and the new Scribs are coming. Today is Friday and there as been no post as of yet to say other wise.

Yes, it was already set that next Tuesday will be the release of Alexander.

Honestly. It's Friday, calm thy horses.

Please don't bring Alexander before you fix MOST or SOME balancing issues with the job's.
DRK is broken.
AST needs tweaks.
MCH is useless.
Remove WM BRD, all in all, you screwed up my main DPS job which is why I went BLM main.
Raids will be hell on earth and the forums will be complete uproar if they don't get a look see.
Some things needs to be fixed before the raid.

True....well hell bring both but fix the damn jobs lol.

Go back and look at the live letter in the FFXIV twitch channel archive.... They showed a power point slide for their launch content timeline and everything with dates stretching from early access to Alexander savage.

I believe the phrase was "will release approximately 2 weeks after Heavensward launch".

We know
1) Alexander normal will be added in 3.01
2) 3.01 is being rolled out next week

This part of the alexander preview makes me think we're not actually getting it tomorrow: "* Details regarding the rewards for Alexander will be available in the patch 3.01 notes to be released at a later date."

Where did you see this?

Just before early access, in the producer's letter live, Yoshi-P said specifically, that they will not have time for another letter live before the Alex-Normal is released. That's why they released the loot rules for Alex-N before early access. However, they did say that they will have another letter live before Alex-S will be released, so the details regarding Alex-S will be in the next letter live.

The next letter live will take place on the 10th July. Today is the 6th/7th. So Alex-N is going to be released between today and Friday---i.e. today after maintenance (or tomorrow, depending on your time zone).
