Kicked as machinist

Hate to get kicked out of grp just for beeing a machinist. Even if the other dps is the lower one its me whos getting kicked.

I've been in many groups but luckly never got kicked, but I do know such ''mentality'' is around. Did they really performed below you in DPS?

It was just a 4man grp, so was it yesterday and the day before. Im not the best Player but im doing my Job. Im pretty sure the ninja in last grp was not better than me but it doesnt matter. PPL Keep thinking MCH is low. It actually is but that no reason to kick ppl out just for beeing MCH.

I don't get all the gripe about MCH.....I've cleared Ravana EX plenty and this best farm group I've had came from a group of Two MCH both parsing around 800. MCH can be viable and great at times , I hope people can come to see that .

Stop merging ya parses and let the encounter run the full duration. After fix MCH is lucky to break 650 depending on whats going on in Ravana.

What phase of the fight are you downing Ravana? Second warlord shell? During the first swift liberation?

I've never kicked a mch simply for being a mch. But i will admit whenever I end up in a party with one that I don't usually enjoy it or at least lose hope in our dps.

I'll admit that the class can do fairly well when played correctly but yes it will be difficult for the job to get any appreciation until mch is "fixed". If it was a pf group I would say make your own, but if it was df then, all I can say is its df lol.

I don't trust this story.

While MCH is certainly in need of a little buff, I find it disgusting that you would get kicked from a 4-man party simply for being a machinist. That sort of mentality just isn't right. If this becomes the norm however, then measures will surely be taken. No developer could sit on their butt knowing stuff like this is happening without doing anything. I at least couldn't.

Try and play with friends in your FC and such for now! ^^

I guess we will see a massive balance/fix patch before Alexander arrives.

Why say such outrageous things?? Even our blm who one shots the adds when he crits and isn't affected by the seeing left/right/wings isn't 800+

Because many people never want to see the machinist buffed.

It is likely, if that DPS number is true, to be the machinist fully buffed out with their ammo rotation. Which is a pretty decent spike for 5 seconds then they fall off and their DPS sinks harder than the Titanic for the rest of two minutes.

I dunno what parsers are used ,I dont parse personally I just speak the numbers that are posted in the chat. I know by the time swift liberation is up the boss is almost dead. Check my load I know this fight in and out and I know great DPS , we had two MCH and the fight was the fastest I've seen it done

Guess they lolemerged their parse ( why do ppl even do this...) or they lied.

Is there something more we can do to ask SE for a buff? I'm still not reaching lv54 but I love the MCH I want to make it my main, but it's going to suck if people really believes is the lowest dps.

I've seen quite a few FC members stop leveling the job because of the low damage, the RNG, and overall not wanting to play a class that's marked as weak and gimped.

I personally stopped playing because I was hoping for a Time Crisis feel (RELOAD!) but instead saw bard with gun and RNG. I'll check it again at 3.1, but until then its just not appealing to me =\

Yet to be kicked however I get the lolmch crap most of the time just as a dungeon starts, cleared all new dungeons np even with a second mch. On an Avery run my group actually failed the dps check on dragon adds...the 2nd dps was a drg and my lord he was awful :o

I'm gearing up atm currently i180 weapon ilvl 159, im also levelling monk as back up. My server does have a few pfs where either a brd is only (support) selected or mch/brd are excluded....even in a practise party.

Ist not the Problem to clear a dungeon, its not fast enough for ppl. Thats the Problem.

Bards/MCH being excluded from PF groups is running rampant on Gilgamesh. Every group I'm in, there's a "Oh no we have a MCH, not getting past the DPS check" or if there's a MCH and a BRD "Yeah, were not getting past the DPS check with a MCH and a BRD, we need to kick one."

Slowest fight I ever had for the third trial in Heavensward was with three bards. BRD and MCH damage is just too low. I'm not one to kick or deny anyone based the job they play, but you can definitely tell the damage being lower.

It is a stigma that is going to be a thing till both BRD and MCH are fixed. The situation would be same for any job that has low DPS. SMN's were not very welcomed into Final Coil and now wanted in parties badly.

Calling it now: BRD and MCN are either going to shine in Alexander somehow, or post-buffs/changes going to be in high demand for content.

Yeah I've been kicked a few times. It happens though and you just have to pick up the pieces and move on.

Alexander will be interesting.

Still love the class though some changes will be welcome.

Anyone know where I can trade in my AutoTurret for one of these? since it isn't going to move anyway?

Well their main thing is that they have lower dps but offer support utility instead. Right now there are only the 2 ex primals, both of which are pretty quick fights, so their utility is kinda pointless and you're just left with a subpar dps. So yeah, alexander, just by being a raid with longer fights, will increase their demand regardless of any buffs or specifically brd/mch oriented mechanics.

Part of the problem is that people are trying to figure out class balance based on only ex primals and dungeons. Which isn't to try and dismiss the problems those classes have, but it's an incomplete picture. Honestly, what content cycle ever would it have been okay to judge class balance based on only the new ex primals and dungeons?

P.S. I still don't trust the OP's super vague story.

lol you know I was surprised to find the turrets were floating since they're stationary otherwise. I thought I'd be putting tripods up everywhere.

I was surprised to find that they look nothing like an awesome turret...can you even see guns on them? I feel like SE missed an opportunity to add a little more cool flair to the machinist class...

I'm not sure they fire bullets at all actually. It looks like they're giving off some kind of electrical pulse. It's clearer on the bishop than on the rook.
