uninteractable glowy spots?

Has anyone else come across these? I've found at least 2 per map, though when my fiance goes there, she says she sees nothing like this; here is a few examples:

Not sure what they are (if anything?) Any one else see these?

Stand over them and type /lookout, they're view spots and you get exp/rewards for finding them.

Yeah there's one in churning mists near zenith that is /pray

Those are the spots for the sightseeing log. You will only see them if you have picked up the quest. Once you've logged it by doing the proper action it will disappear. There are like 7 per zone.

Yeah..... those are Sight Seeing Log vistas. /lookout doesn't always work. I haven't actually bothered with any of them yet, but there are far more than just 2 per map. There's a whole bunch on every map.

One reason I haven't bothered with them is because while this time around at least they made the locations visable, I still don't know if they require specific weather and time of day in order to get completion, like the original Sight Seeing Log. If so, then yaaay for another worthless waste of time Sight Seeing Log, because I am not going to bother with it if this is the case again.

See in your chatbox where it says "You have arrived at a vista"? ;-)

They should put those in older zones too.

I'm just wondering about the old sightseeing vista spot at the entrance of the zone where the bonding ceremony chapel is.

old zones are a pain in the backside tho... wait for certain time.. need certain weather... just annoys me only done 2 in old zones XD

I'm going to be saving all of these to help level other jobs once I hit 60 on my main and can fly in all the zones.

I "found" all of the old ones but the waiting around for the proper time and weather combinations killed it for me.

yeah i have page bookmarked but the certain weather needed just makes me lose interest XD HW vistas are alot better lol

I have about 25 of them now none seem to be weather or time sensitive, but 2 so far have used /pray. All the rest are /lookout.

I doubt the old ones will ever get updated. Not enough people care to invest the time or resources to do it. That apkallu minion will be quite the commodity.

I would rather not see these make their way to the older zones. While the new ones are served on a silver platter, I actually preferred the old way to how it is now in Heavensward. The old sightseeing log required a bit more reading comprehension and deduction, rather than simply seeing a glowing point and facerolling through a few choice emotes.

I don't feel that every piece of content needs to be simplified to the point that it finally appeals to a large audience that otherwise wouldn't have the patience for a side activity. I suspect most wouldn't even bother with this activity if an experience reward weren't now attached to it.

For those of us who enjoyed hunting these locations down (and purely out of the fondness of doing so, as there were no XP rewards associated with the ARR spots), something has been lost. I suspect those who love raiding, PvP, or a number of other optional activities would be/have been annoyed if/when they were simplified for the masses as well.

They don't. I haven't had a single one tell me it was the wrong time of day or weather.
