Mi'qote Child - Proof !

This is showing on my screen, but not my friends even thou we are in the same area.
And he's the dragoon standing right infront of her & still cant see her.

Just for those that may have missed it

It's an NPC that spawns there occasionally, like the Carbuncle and Arcanist in Mor Dhona.

After complaining to my FC how I can't /pet her, all I got back was "No touching allowed!".

Hmph.

If I recall, she's a Seeker. Sticking to the lore, she would only appear during the day.

She is very much like Ruby the Carbuncle from Mor Dhona, though personally I have only seen her show up exactly there.
Her tiny little tail is the cutest thing!!!

I've never seen her... I've seen another topaz Carby in Idyllshire though....

Speaking of NPCs not being visible to some o_O
I've also noticed an odd thing with NPCs appearing and disappearing - I don't know if it is/was a bug (I haven't re-tested since the multiple updates/hotfixes) or if it's just the graphics card in my new computer ----- NPCs will be there while I'm on land on mount.... then, as soon as I take off on a flying mount they disappear. I'm barely hovering a foot off the ground and they just blink out of existence. Land immediately without moving anywhere and they're back again... I noticed this with a hunter by a pack of wild chocobos in the Dravanian lands, southeast of Tailfeather. The guy makes a KFC reference while looking at the chocobos (one of those pop-up text bubbles that appear when you get too close). Not sure if anyone else has ever seen that, before.
It makes me wonder if it's similar................ or if your friend's in-game time is different than yours and she hasn't yet appeared for him, if kitten is on a timer o_O

My Miqo'te is set to the shortest height. I've only seen her once so far.

i had a dog who had incredible big feets for his body when he was a puppy but when he grew up they stayed almost the same size as they have been before ;)

When I was little, one of our cats gave birth to five kittens, one of which was a very noticeable pink. Most people don't believe me until I tell them that we unironically named her Pinky...

Cats ears are one of the first features that reach full-size when growing. They tend to look oddly disproportionate until they reach adulthood. Miqo'te borrow traits like this from real world cats, such as the hiss-sound, rolling r's, and a minor meowing speech impediment. Males have facial markings that come from real world cheetahs as well.

My cats have never rolled their r's or had speech impediments...that I could tell haha.

Every kitten I've met had voices that cracked when they attempted to speak. I believe that's what Velox is referring to.

Not sure about the rolled r's tho. Purring is something else entirely.

Miqo'te have different voice-boxes than the rest of the races and have specific sounds that only they can pronounce. Usually the other races just leave these sounds out, or replace them with similar pronunciations. The rolled r's is such a thing that some Miqo'te inherit. It's the not the same as taking an r and rolling it in English, it's actually it's own sound-effect that only a Miqo'te can do. It's similar to purring in a way that only cats can purr because they have the anatomy designed for it.

what camp/town is this wee Miq'kitten in? I don't recognize what little is show in any of the pics above.

Also noticed the Miqo'te child haves a short tail like a kitten.

It's a very good thing she's unselectable, otherwise she'll be nearly constantly hugged, petted, or worse.

There's a different one that appears in Mor Dhona too. She's selectable and asks about where one of the Doman kids is.
