Any compiled list of current DPS damages done at i179 for the various jobs?

I am incredibly interested in finding out this information.


Last time I ran the numbers:
ninja was at 1,700 DPS and then
machinist was at 800 DPS and
bard at 870 DPS.


Anyone have numbers?

It's pretty close to how it's been for awhile.

DRG|NIN|MNK - 1100 DPS: They are all fairly close with maybe a 20 dps difference that will largely come down to player skill.

SMN > BLM - While both jobs break the 1k barrier pretty easily it comes down to Mechanics and BLM is more immobile than ever.

BRD>MCH - Both classes are in a rough spot, but BRD at least retains their utility which is superior to MCH. I've seen them parse in the 900's.

Please Note: These are dummy numbers. I've never seen a DPS break 1k sustained for an extended period of time on difficult content like BIS EX or Ravana EX

Edit: I call BS on NIN at 1700 sustained. Show me the 3 1/2 minute parse or that's just burst.

Are you sure Ninja is just 1700? Because when I saw the Ninja with trickshot or w/e it is called... I swear I was like 1,700 without buffs. Everytime trick was up it spiked to 1,700.

MCH and BRD are both around 1k with i190 weapons.

No one does 1700 sustained period.

NIN can do 1700 dps but not per second

Sure, NIN can burst for 1700 easy, but not over 3 1/2 minutes. They level off around 1100-1200 just like the other melee.

Total Average DPS is what you want to compare and it needs to be for a duration of at least 3.5 mins like Freyr is mentioning. Any job during its burst will be parsing really high, but when buffs/debuffs drop, dps will drop.

For these reasons you also do not want to be misled by videos or parses of job openers; these will only show the opening burst.

Remember that dummies are lvl 50. I can 6k+ crit on a fire 4 on a lvl 50 dummies but my crits on mobs in lvl 60 dungeon, highest so far is 4956. We need lvl 60 dummies to really know.

No ... there's no "defense" in this game on enemies. Everyone takes the same amount of damage unless there's specifically vulnerability up or debuffs on the target or you yourself are attacking harder.

Guarantee your 6k crits on dummy are under RS, while your 5k ones are not.

This is about right.

In 5 - 6 min dummy fight I m doing around 1k without food/pots/party buff with my SMN. It usually jump up and down from 1k. 555 accuracy, 625 crit, 433 det, 551 spell speed, attack magic potency 865, ilvl 178.

DRG: 1250

MNK/BLM: 1200

SMN/NIN:1150

BRD/MCH:900

so that means without disembowel. you would be looking at 1k dps with it. doesn't sound so much behind others imo. actually sounds like brd is in the same spot as it was in 2.xx.

and I'm curious. why would you value brd's utility higher (or even superior) btw? in the end it seems to come down to Foe's VS hyperchargded turrets debuffs and warden's paean VS dismantle/rend mind
