Parry and Block under Dexterity?..........

Title should be clear enough.

It is high time that the parry and block rates be taken out of the dexterity stat and put under vitality.

Why is it even under dexterity any way its not like bards or ninjas have a use for it but tanks do its bad enough that parry is random that's fin really to be honest but for the rate to be under dexterity is a bad design and it needs to be put in vitality now.

it already has been, seems like they have just forgotten to update the stat desciptions. they took that feature out entirely, the six main stats don't affect parry or block anymore

Say whaaaaaat!? This changes things lol! That is absolutely horrible for new players or basically ANY player that started after that patch. How are people suppose to know that?

it was stated in the patch notes for 3.0, kinda SE's fault for not updating the stat descriptions XD

Do you have a link to the source of that information btw? I really need to see that with my own eyes.

that pretty much explains that STR and DEX don't affect parry and block anymore, i can say from exp cause before the change on my DRG i could parry and deflect 30% of the damage, since they changed it my parry strength is now a flat 20% same as all the other jobs. Can't say the same for the parry rate though since DEX isn't used on DRG

It's a change that didn't get pushed through to the EN translations. The JP in-game tooltips reflect the change.

You can take a hit to the face too if you don't believe it.

Block will be lower post-patch than it was pre-patch and parry is always a 20% reduction now no matter how much str or dex you have.
