New Limsa looks -EPIC-

100% improvement. Good job SE. the little changes make a massive difference.

flagpoles and depth + ballons make looking into the distance a lot more awesome

The floating balloons and airship have been there since beta.. They're in all the nations.

And the plants, im sure they were there too.

OP, what the hell are you smoking? If a few plants and baloons are "EPIC" in your playbook, maybe you should hop back on that time machine to 1950.

The additions are a nice change and beautiful, but "EPIC" and "MASSIVE"? :eek:

I believe she's talking about the event stuff. There are new decorated airships flying around all the city and flags moving with the wind. Doubt these are permanent content though.

Gridania has some cannons

See this is why i love uldah, Limsa and grid bring cannons to a fight. Uldah brings a multibarrel rocket launcher.

I'm really liking these additions, particularly Limsa's. Here's hoping they carry on filling up the cities to make them feel more alive.

(Also, the flags in Limsa look really good, not sure if I've seen proper flags blowing in the wind like that previously ingame?)

Hope these changes will remain also after the event. The flags moving in the wind are a very nice touch.

All the cities NEED to stay this way, they ALL look so much more alive and bustling.

That sure as hell is not epic. A constant explosion in the sky while leviathan is causing fires to go out with thornados as chocobos run around in massive herds while the citizens are running around in panic. That happening while ifrit is ripping the buildings and throwing the pieces at odin that is cutting the sky in half while the while LL is going into eidolon defence mode IX style. THAT would be epic. A red flag texture with a ballon is NOT epic. Pleasant, nice or even a surprising little detail yes , but epic? No not even close. Not even by fanboy standards.

These changes just destroyed any sense of immersion.

Are we really expected to accept that this stuff materialized out of thin air.

It should have taken a server of crafters at least a few months Os steady grinding to make all of this. Then it should have been put in place one at a time by NPCs.

Exactly... adds more flavor to an otherwise bland greyish palette style city. The little touches add quite a bit imo :P

Yeah the changes are really nice. The fluttering flags, mainly.

Although they may have gone overboard in Limsa.

It is amazing how much difference some flags and new music can make. Also, maybe it has just been too long since I was in Ul'dah but is there new architecture there along with the flags?
