I personally enjoy the challenges that came with learning MCH, including the now-better sense of cooldown and pet management that came from learning this job. That's the same thing that left me gun-shy about S H/SMN til now (no pun intended >_<).
Gauss Barrel is still a hit or miss with me (ok, that was intended, sorry), butI have yet to really suffer for using/not using it.
I love playing machinist. +_+ Ran Brayfloy today and got two comms while running it. Didn't even think I was that good tbh. lol I can't wait to get all the why to lvl 60.
I love the class but god dam is the dps the worst I ever felt
I love the job and will continue to play mch, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't jealous of my friends 6k empyrean arrow or 3k sidewinders. Even the resident war sees better number. But hey I've got robots and a gun :3
I love the theme, the style and the animations.
What I don't love is insanely intensitve mechanics that still have me doing less damage than literally any other DPS class. Or Warriors. Or White Mages...
Love the class and style of the animations. Love the challenge and the feel of the gameplay.
I don't, however, love the current single target dps and the awkward periods of time without a combo proc.
I love the class but the combo proc mechanic is clunky and need some tweaks
I like my gun. A lot.
I just wish the job we were excited about, looked forward to, actually held up when it comes to DPS checks in raid bosses... /sigh.
I enjoy it. I just think it kind of sucks that two really useful abilities, gauss round and ricochet, are locked behind a horrible mechanic like the gauss barrel. I've sort of gotten used cast times And instants working together and it wouldn't be as bad if there wasn't so much downtime between reload stacks.
That said, I do like the awareness and strategy you need with the class. From having to recast turrets to follow a pack of mobs that moves (or gets moved) to properly managing you reload rotation while keeping Lead Shot and Hot Shot up, it's fun. Just wish the utility and support we were supposed to have actually existed outside of turret regeneration and a really short debuff with a long cooldown.
