My boyfriend got kicked and now he can't log back in because of this que issue and them being broken. There has to be something that can be done about this. Being in a que is fine, even a larger que, but does que have to collapse like this?

Either way, I agree that it's a pointless discussion. People who can't spell (or willfully misspell) will continue to do so. If it bothers you, the best fix is to hang around people who don't do that.
The character limits in these posts however.... ridiculous. Just awful design.
I don't think that's really true. They could rearrange the data centers and stuff, right? I imagine that would have helped out. They're not dumb though, and don't need the internet vox populi to suggest it for them. If they haven't done it, they've obviously decided it's not worth it from their end to fix one week worth of log in trouble on congested servers. As a player, the options are a) Deal with it or b) cancel your subscription because you expect a level of service you're not getting. If enough people go with A, SE will never really have a good reason to do things differently. If enough people go with B, I'm sure they will do things differently. Without a significant percentage of the player-base caring enough to quit though, SE has little reason to care enough about improving their server infrastructure beyond karma points for acting "ethically". i applaud big companies that do try to act ethically, but am afraid they're not in the majority. At any rate, I highly doubt most of us will quit because of log in trouble over a week. These issues annoy me (as much as people using que instead of queue, even), but not to the point of quitting a game that's otherwise quite fun.Quote:

I have no proof, but I'm willing to bet that's the position the vast majority of players ultimately find themselves in.
(It's also worth noting that many of my friends on the same server in the same data center have experienced no technical issues at all.... so us complainers are possibly in a minority to begin with). -

I live in South Carolina (lower east coast) and play exclusively on Midgard (only one character). I played off and on all weekend...primetime, late at night, early morning, lunch time, dinner time. About the only time I wasn't trying to get in game was about a 4 hour window at dark-thirty in the morning roughly between 4am and 9am Eastern time. I came home for lunch both yesterday and today and logged right in, ran around doing odds and ends for a half-hour or so (hunts, crafts, retainer stuff, getting set up to run stuff when I got home that night). Got home and played roughly 4 hours each night with no issues getting in and no lagging whatsoever. Early on (Friday night, a few times Saturday and ONCE on Sunday) I had to retry getting to the lobby a couple times, but otherwise I had no issues getting in.
There may be something else at play here, and not something that SE can address for you. My route is clean and for the most part stable. And no.. that's not checking access to other services. That is actually taking a look at my route and working with my ISP when necessary to make corrections over the last year or so. I've had to do that less and less though, as they have been tweaking things fairly regularly lately trying to stay ahead of issues.
That's the only thing I can think of to explain why I have had very few issues compared to others on Midgard. We are on the same server, and I've likely played during the same windows as some of you saying you had lots of problem---and I haven't. When my session is stable along the route, login and gameplay is fine. When the game gets wonky, I can find a problem along my route and I am able to shoot an email off to the support team and they appear to be taking care of it. When the path clears up, so does everything related to the game.
If you haven't properly analyzed your path to your server (or had someone else do it), you may want to look into it. Might be surprised what you discover.

Woah, lol. It really hasn't been all that hard to get into the game except for maybe two times a day when the queue acts up for a little bit. Sheesh. I've put so many hours into the game the past few days on Balmung, and today I played for hours already with no problems logging in multiple times.
Way to seriously overreact. :l Relax, take a walk or something and check back in an hour or two. That's what I plan on doing, I could use a walk to wake up a bit. xD Only checked the forums to make sure it wasn't on my end.
Edit: Actually I just got in after it's been stuck on 1 person in queue for a bit.
