Especially as on PS4 aiming AOE'S gets tedious, i was really really wishing that they would be pets that followed you like the fairy etc, this is a HUGE let down, just another skill to spam and relocate with difficulty on the PS4 controller...

Mm I play with a controller (on PC though) and I think pet controlling is fine, if not something that I got used to. Haven't tried the turrets though yet.

Not unlimited, but the cooldown is only 10 seconds to to summon again and costs nothing. Pretty easy to move them around as needed.

The turret is exactly that - a Turret.
It has no sentience. All it does is follow your aether (Basically what your bullets are made of) and tracks whatever your bullets hit, which is why it will shoot only when you use a Weaponskill and will shoot whatever you used that weaponskill on.
They're not helicopters, so moving around on their own would be difficult to say the least.
