Finally have Capes! But there is one problem....

They are not Tail Friendly. The Cape actually clips fully with Miqo'te and Au Ra tails, it looks pretty bad when you move around.

Ugh I'm sick of this. My ponytail as Au Ra clips through my Greatswords 100% too.

I don't understand why they haven't implemented QA standards yet for this?

They need to make tails detached so as to make it so they can be auto-hidden with certain gears.

And either rig weapons in such a way that they 90% of the time don't clip hairstyles or give an "up do" toggle.

This happened at launch too. They just got it out, then fixed it gradually in patches. Yeah the tails should just be removed when wearing gear like this. I have an imagination still.

The variety of hair styles can be a problem too. My dreadlocks go through my allagan mask.

I prefer the clipping over the stupid bows on robes.

And how WoW handled it. God that was awful. Molded over top of the tail.

no, that's an actual cape.

i remember one game dealing with it by hiding the tail entirely. that might work better.

sadly no the tail moves up and down on the cape in areas other than where it is in that screenshot.

Yea...isn't the tail supposed to stay under the cape? (that's how I assume would really happen with cape+tails)

I can see other pieces of gear have holes for tails, but capes, nah I'd rather have my tail under my cape, thank you.

Also I think I got my first head gear that has no ugly earsacks. The relic hat wasn't too bad though...just the earsacks on those darned robes. (Actually this hat looks kinda painful the way it's worn, but I'm not gonna think about it because I think trying to make sense of that would make my head hurt)

Maybe they could add a tail wrapped around waist and super flaccid tail options, both should prevent or at least significantly reduce tail (push the cape out a tiny bit, although in OPs case I can imagine a slight "v" crease/fold would work wonders too).

Hiding a tail would obviously work too but imo that should be the last resort, since that'd be like saying you should have to hide an arm so you can fit into the gear- lol (part of your body)

A tail wrapped around the waist sounds kinda painful...I really wouldn't want to try and make sense of that.

Or have a shorter cape option for tailed characters...one that stops just short of where the tail is.

I believe there is a moment when Zidane in FFXI does this, a number of Wukong material (and related mythos), and also Super Sayians of the DBZ universe - that's what I was thinking of mostly.

Obviously the fatter tails would make less sense lol (Godzilla tail wrapped around waist, good luck ;D).

caps could have a slit down the bottom half so the tail fits through? :P

My main is a miqote with that hairstyle that goes down to the shoulders.

His hair clips through his /skin/.

It's hard to notice unless you look for it, at least...but it'd be nice for such clipping errors to be fixed.

Because removing all that geometry to allow for tail slits was just too much, right SE?
