When dark knight was announced I was really excited. I played Pld with my raid group and when dark knight was announced I decided to make the jump to dark knight. I have played the class since the start of early access and have leveled it to 56. It's a fun class, but while playing it dawned on me that its dps isn't as good as warr and its defensive cds are nowhere on pld's level.My question is will drk be a good mt for when raid content is released? Ive put so much time into it and I feel like its not going to pay off and im going to regret not sticking with pld.

It's way too early to tell at this point. People still need to get used to their play style and figure out the right rotations. If you're really not sure, then I'd say stick with PLD for now. People should probably have DRK mostly figured out in a couple of weeks or so.

i think that ultimately DRK's toolkit is adequate to handle whatever the game throws at you, it's simply outdone by PLD/WAR. i'd say it's probably in a better state than WAR @ launch, it just need a few tweaks to put it on the right track. if you really like DRK, i'd say you should keep at it, but maybe level up PLD as well if you're going to be jumping into savage alexander pretty shortly after it's release.
and actually, depending on how prevalent magic damage becomes in alexander DRK could have a really strong niche as an anti-magic tank, since it does possess the best tools for dealing with magic damage. -

Personal opinion:
Nope, DRK won't fill in as a MT. He has the same problem like the WAR. Sure it's gonna work, but the Damagereduction that comes only from a PLD Shield simple is superior for real hard encounters. I wouldn't want to make it harder for my raidgroup.
However DRK is a could become a good option if you don't have a monk in your raidgroup. Yet if you have one and you want to change to DRK....uhm...well...suboptimal. -

What I'd like to know is if bloodbath is broken for DRK. It doesn't seem to use AoEs like it does on WAR. The only trait WAR gets to effect it, is duration. So I'm not sure why it isn't working on my AoE skills. I mean Dark Passenger I could kind of see that, as it seems more of like a spell, but unleash? You would think it would work with that at least.

Awareness ain't bad at all. It's certainly more niche than the other defensive cooldowns, but it ensures 15s of consistency in damage taken, which can be a godsend for healers (especially during larger pulls).
