Just want to say I think the dark knight story quests (at least the ones I have done as a level 51 DRK) are AWSOME.
The whole feel and the way it plays out kept me really hooked and the ones going into 50-60 look to do the same.

Lv 58 DRK quest = Best.
I am absolutely in love with the dark knight storyline. That level 50 finisher was so good @__@
Yeah currently level 56 I have to say the dark knight job quests were dam awesome. I swear during the 30-50 quests it was like they were reading the minds of the players :X oh and the level 50 quest is dang awesome.
People have said the 58 quest is awesome can't wait to get there.
You guys are making me jealous. I'm about to go full Red Sonja on SE for the warrior quests being so ridiculous. This inner beast nonsense has gone too far.
The 50 quest was amazing - best job quest I have done so far. Much appreciation to the talent they have at Square Enix!
I've only done up to the first 50 (need help finding the second), and I gotta say DRK is my favorite job quest storyline (to be fair though, I've only finished -as in up to the 1st Lv 50- on PLD, WHM, BLM, SMN and SCH along with all the crafters besides AMR and BSM). Can't wait to continue after I unlock more dungeons. I think it's because it feels like the only job questline that's about you as a character and not you helping some npc that solely exists to give you skills.
Ya the Lv 50 one, omg shivers when doing that one. You up and coming Darks are in for a treat let me tell ya. :D
I actually really liked the level 45 DRK quest. That's what really won me over to Fray.
So where is the second lv 50 quest anyways? For the life of me I can't find it.
we've all agreed not to talk about that "incident"
so good
I can't even say what level 50 quest reminds me of without spoiling it. 58 made me facepalm because I didn't want to do these mechanics again. xD
I was hooked from the intro job quest. Fray: 'I only have the one sword, so here ya go'. Job guild? Yea. We don't need one cause we're THAT badazz. And my fave movie quote of all time at the end of the bloodbath they call a job quest (won't spoil it by sayin it, but if you've watched the Clint Eastwood movie 'Unforgiven' it should be familiar). DRK 4 life now.

Thanks for that! I didn't even know there WAS a second one. I fail.
Finished the 60 quest the other day. It ended in a 'typical' manner. But I still couldn't help but feel bad.
Typical? I thought it was pretty dark, no pun intended. Typical would of been
The mother coming around and accepting her daughter, I thought this was where it would head with all the power of love crap they talked about in the previous quest. But nope. Instead Riore essentially orders her own mother's execution right in front of her, and Sid obliges in a slowmotion decapitation. Brutal. If this were less cartoonish/censored that would of been a grisly sight.
And if you talk to them after the quest it's implied that she may end up becoming a dark knight herself now, Sid says he would train her if that is her wish.
The story, both of them, were pretty great though. I thought the 50-60 arc suffered a bit due to it's need to be broken up into 6 segments but it was still pretty strong. The 30-50 arc though is my favorite job line in the game, so so good.
Fair enough. I can imagine that being more typical. But there was something about that slow motion:
Her facial expression changed completely. What was once crazed and everything was the actual look of a mother that did care for her daughter before her decapitation. It sent a different message. To me, it made it seem like she wasn't trying to kill of the 'Abomination' which was Rielle, but herself for what she did.
But it does seem like no one really saw that or I at least figured Rielle would have caught that.~
Only 57' but that 50 quest.... I knew who fray was from the start, but it was still awesome. I defintly know why it's locked behind the main story, as it even references the 2.55 events... But man, it was awesome.
The lvl 50 quest was great, I also enjoyed the lvl 45 quest. All the dialogues were like if SquareEnix was reading my mind, I feel so identified with this quest line, can't wait to play more since I'm still lvl 50
So just hit 60 and fished up the quests and had a question
When rille says "How much more love you show for her than you did for me" was she talking to Sid about how he was going to spare her mothers life? Or was she talking to her mother about her devotion to Halone but not to her own daughter?
Oh man that level 58 quest.

Got to say the DRK quests have been the most epic out of the classes I've leveled. I just wish they'd last longer. :(
