3.0 Beta test ?

Am i the only one thinking that we are doing a sort of beta test before the launch ?
The must for SE is that "we" paid to be tester. Nice shot... I'm a little bit disapointed. No rage btw.

How much extra did you pay for early access?

All early access is like this. even if they didnt do early access, launch would do this. its not like the game itself is bugged, its just being stressed by the servers.

The only way this wouldn't happen in any MMO is if they didn't let accounts login that had less then X amount of hours over the last month. Restricting the server to the old stable population. But last I checked they hope to make money, not alienate people.

This is way tamer then pretty much any other expansion launch I have seen to date. Also, they can only justify spending so much on servers for what is typically a problem for only a week or less, aside extreme circumstances (ARR launch was one of those circumstances)

yes, you're right, my argument is invalid but still... it's a pain. Every lauch as been chaotic, i was hoping better for this time... what a fool :p

its actually alot better then 2.0 launch and i do mean ALOT... 2.0 launch was dreadful almost no1 could play at all, imo they prepared pretty well for it this time by the time 4.0 comes im sure there will be barely any issues for its launch XD

It IS better...by a longshot.
Compared to 2.0, this was extremely smooth, not 100% of course but with those two comparisons...woah boy.
1. It's an expansion, kinda like a new game. The floodgates were open and everyone came back.
2. People took days off for this so...
3. It's the weekend.
You rather have hiccups or a straight week of no game time at all?
Pick your poison; I'd have the former.

I do not have any problems whatsoever. Only 10 min. after server went up there was a difficulty to log in because everyone rushed, afterwards everything was just fine. Not sure what you are complaining about :/

Edit:
Scrolled down some threads, seems like other servers were having problems. Everything was fine on Moogle and I played for 17 hours straight today :/

Only issue that really bothers me is the client closing after each attempt, would be nice if that stopped. xD

My whole group got DC'd from 1 dungeon, thats the only issue ive had, cant complain TBH, much smoother than many expansions ive played.

Honestly, even with me being 2002 and 5006'd for two hours straight today, it's still one of the smoothest expansion launches I've had.
