Aether Data Center Down

90k into a 2002 error.

I wonder how long until it is back up again?

Second time today its been down. At least things arent as bd as at 2.0 launch, hiccups are expected.

Hiccup lol, thats when you get booted and you can log right back in again.....This more like puked

I don't mind the problems...but why does the 2002 error have to close the program? I don't want my key chain's battery to deplete. QQ

Try being in queue to get into world on to get a Lobby error. :| Twice this has happened and I haven't logged in at all today.

It's been happening to Aether a lot it seems.

Yeah... I wouldn't call up to several hours of re-entering login information and re-launching the client a "hiccup." But don't let reality stop the acclaims of "best launch ever."

There's no perfect launch, mind you. And this is nowhere near a bad one... but it helps when your client isn't built with an "uphill in the snow both ways" mentality.

I admit this launch has been pretty smooth compared to most that I've seen. I'm saying this having been 90ked into a 2002 spamfest.

Thats my concern too!

Close out full from the Game, log back in and switch data centers around a few time, re-attempt Aether. Rinse and repeat as necessary.

This. It's basically luck if you get in or not. Being able to hit other data centers is just nice to know it's not on your end.

Is that all you can do, honestly? Just keep trying until it works? I didn't encounter this yesterday so I guess I was fortunate, but now I can't get back on at all. Been trying 30 mins or so, but I have to get back and see those baby dragons...it's a matter of great importance. :/

I know this type of thing is to be expected during early access and at launch... but it is just annoying to have to keep tying in my passwords over and over again.

Simple

You only have 1 chance to play this game and thats it between 8:00 -:13:00 pm , if you dare to log out for take a break say goodbay until tomorrow, its impossible to log in right now and dont expect to play even between 2:00-4:00 am

Only when all the NAs are zz.

Nah, I have been thru this a few times now and it just takes persistence and some luck. It's not impossible, I just got in.

I didn't have any problems logging in early morning, but in the evening good luck!

Did you get into the game? Or did you just get into the Character Select screen? These are two very different things because you can still get a lobby error while waiting in queue.

First of all, we knew that this will happen. That we have early access is not bonus for us, its for SE to find bugs/probelms to fix them before official release. Then i can tell you many "fix" how to handle that problme, but all seem not work 100% just pur luck. (I did the flushdns thingy yetsreday and got in right after)

Can't even get into the lobby/character select screen. Error 2002

Im in game. I did have the bad luck of getting disconnected in que last night.

2002 here too...

I'm regretting going to eat now.

I got lectured by a Chinese lady working at the restaurant how to hold my drink cup correctly, and got afk booted and can't get back in now :(. Sad day.

Happened yesterday around the same time to me as today.

I'm not in yet. Still trying to slay the 2002 monster.

I am in and about 12 others in my FC. I had 650 in que ahead of me after trying to connect to the data center.

Funny story: The 2002 error is probably a joke in relation to the 2002 launch of FFXI. Ya know, just so we remember why we're having issues. So anytime you get that 2002 error, it's translation is basically "LOL CONGESTION"
