Why does my Astrologian have a sword scabbard?

I am not a Paladin. Yet, when my weapon is sheathed I look like a Paladin with his shield on his back and an empty scabbard. I dont mind the weapon looking like a round shield on my back but the scabbard serves no purpose and should be removed. The funny part is I know several Paladin's who have complained for a long time that they dont get a scabbard for their sword.

So perhaps Square Enix could kill two birds with one stone and simply remove the graphic from the AST weapon and apply it to the PLD weapons...

On a similar note Why are machinists carrying a lunchbox on the side of their pants? Can we remove that too and put it on paladins.

It's all artistic direction, and I think it is cool.

Scabbard? I thought it was a duel disk.

For AST it carries cards and I m guessing for Mach that it's his gear/ ammo I like those attachments makes the dark knight look so plain

It is pretty weird that the scabbard has six large cards, yet the 12 we actually use and touch during our abilities are the ones visually floating around the star globe. I don't get it.

the starglobe should be held to the side and the things for the cards should be gone. its quite dumb looking.

They should have the card scabbard attach to your arm so it looks like this:

from what I remember, SE was originally going to give Astrologian duel disks as weapons but switched for some reason. :B
I think I even saw a model of it somewhere...

Probably because the CCG (Collectable Card Game) type of companies (or maybe just the Yugioh people) would call foul. Also in the last thumbnail the fact that it's at crotch-level is no good.

Let's not get into the clipping issues that would create as well.

I don;t mind the "Scabbard" that much myself. Meh.
