or toon... /shutter we don't have toons, we have characters, or chars for short. this isn't wow, we don't look like we were made by Disney Pixar, we are not toons. Maybe that's just my xi side coming out...

Toons was used in EQ1, didn't look cartoonish there either. It has long been an accepted form of referring to character. though not universally used as ome don't care for it.

Yeah its just my XI side then, you were berated for using toon largely in xi, same with whisper instead of tell. I always think of WoW with that term since the graphics were so horribly cartoony. I could never take that game seriously just due to the graphics alone.

Also another reason I don't like the ff reboots they make of the earlier games with those ugly chibi sprites. To me it cheapens the game and takes away a lot of the dramatic element.
