Haha, cool. Damn you! I keep having to read your posts even though you are the only person on my ignore list! I guess having an average post count of like 20 per day for 3 weeks straight makes you kind of unavoidable.

I clicked because the title reminded me of Team Fortress 2's "Meet the..." series.

Nice list, very comprehensive, I never got into pod casts though.

That is true!

What podcasts have you checked out? I think it is worth listening to few episodes, especially early ones, in order to get to know the hosts and guests. ^^

None atm to be honest, I've been too hooked on the game and these forums to browse the internet for quite a while :p

Once I get round to it though I'll come back to this thread then scuttle around those websites reading up on stuff.

Most of the podcasts read out player emails and/or achievements so i will go about adding all the relevant email addresses to the list also. If you want to have your latest achievements read out on air or have rant about a subject simply get in contact.

Also, if you check out Episode 22 of Sambo's Lets Play FFXIV Series you see him and I running around the Wutai Server!

Podcasts are a waste of time.

Fansite podcasts are a waste of a waste of time.

I will never forget at Fanfest 2007, while we were waiting in line to play the WotG demo alongside some nerdly nerd who was overly proud of his 50lb laptop, and identified himself as being from Limit Break Radio. He seemed genuinely offended that we had never heard of him or his podcast, nor were we impressed with the size of his doorstop.

He then argued with us, claiming that DNC was not getting an ability that increases movement speed, even though one of us had already played the demo and knew that Chocobo Jig existed and what it did.

Inside the demo, he shouted to everyone to go to Limit Break Radio to see his full report on the demo. The demo we were all playing at the same time as him, which he couldn't possibly know more about than any of us.

And that's why I don't bother with fansites. Arrogance.

Oh okay. I guess one persons entertainment is another persons waste of time. That is a funny story thought. I guess if you are the type of person that can't stand other peoples opinions or banter between fans of the game then fan site podcasts are not for you. Most of the time hosts of podcasts are well behind the general player base but i like listening while playing. ^^
