Twintania Mount Gained By

Earn 15 gold feathers, which you receive for inviting friends to play/subscribe to FFXIV.

As long as you have 1 friend that keeps on playing you can get the mount "Eventually" :P.

So I assume I have screwed myself the last 2 years because I have gotten like 5 or 6 of my actual friends to play this, however I never new of a code or referral program.....how does the inviting work.??

So basically, make a second account and pre-pay for 270 days. Thats the only way most players will be able to get this. Thanks for nothing SE >.>

Yeah, bought the CE edition for my husband at ARR launch...got him to play (and pay his service fees each month out of my account), some of his friends to play etc. But because I never had a code/waited for a refer a friend campaign, I am I guess out 2 mounts now :/

I wish SE would at least let us show them 'look, see how you bill the same credit card each month for these accounts' ...yeah, I recruited that dude.

Buy 3 ARR key in G2A, easy and cheap.

So it is basically impossible for 99.9% of us to get.

Will it count towards friends we've already invited? I got 3 friends in the game via the code, as well as dropping on forums for chocobo mount. lol

Over time opportunities will present themselves surely. But as of right now not that many people will have twintaint, yes.

I just hope this isn't the new trend, almost every cool ingame item they showed today: the moogle band minions, the carbuncle minions, the twintania mount, and even more stuff were all locked behind real money. I'm finding it hard to get excited about things now.

Could.. but that would be 20-30 dollars per copy of the game + 1 month sub for each of them ( and since you are practically speaking only doing this for the mount you would be spending roughly- 100+ dollars for a single mount. If you are Okay with that, then Okay ( I guess lol). but 100 for a mount is very absurd haha!

Go help new players get their code in those two threads. Heavensward will bring lots of new people to the game so there will be demand for all the recruitment codes. You only need to invite 3 people for the mount. It's not that bad :)

Unfortunately, you can only have a max of (I think) 180 days at any time in the sub. I should know because I often had the message of "Can't add more subscription than x amount of days" when I wanted a veteran reward.

I dont have friends who play this game. But i did have at least 1 random do the invite. I have no idea where that random has gone sence then and has probly left already. I rather this be gated by pvp content.

I'm going to chalk this mount as "unattainable" for me. Everyone I know that are interested in FF XIV are already playing it.

A digital copy of ARR costs like 9 €. And they all come with a 30 day free trial. Even if you have to add another 1 month sub to it (which I don't think you have to), it would be like under 60 € for the mount.

And according to this picture, inviting a friend is already enough to be eligible for the first 5 feathers, adding another month of sub would only result in a few uninteresting items.

That's what I'm thinking. However, I'd wait till the expansion is live, they will most likely update the friend recruitment page as well.

*facepalm* Lets try to keep this about MMO's not about a Trading card game. Cards are different than Digital mounts.

Ps: I don't play WoW, so if this card has a relation to obtain this mount, then this is far worse -.-. That doesn't change the fact that 60-100 for a mount in a P2P environment is absurd. heck even 25 is questionable. If this was a F2P game I would only pay up to 30 for it. since this is a P2P game, it should be either a in-game reward or very cheap on the Mogstation. The mount does look very nice, but 60+ for a mount just pushes me away from it.

( Lucky I do have my girlfriend that plays so I'll get it eventually in time.)

Seriously, if what they wanted was money couldn't have they just added the damn mount in the cash shop? It would've been far more practical than this recruit bs thing. Well as much as I was looking forward to riding Twintania, I'm not gonna go through this, so screw it.
