4.3 gigs?

Really, thats all, man I would have though it would be alot bigger then that....or maybe this is just part of it?

i wouldnt dl anything if i were you the maint is 24 hours for a reason

they wouldnt of put the update in if it wasnt complete its in the launcher and if you cant trust that then the corruption has indeed spread far

I mean, they probably used previous patches to put things in for the expansion.

Probably been compressed a fair bit, you'd find it would be a much larger download otherwise. That or they preloaded some assets in previous patches to ease the strain.

Scratch that. There is more. Restart your launcher once you've finished installing.

Only Textures / Models (You can count the Landscapes, Items, Characters, Enemies / Bosses, whatever as this), Effects, Text Datas and other things are in the Package.

Keep in mind, this Game uses Realtime Cutscenes, that doesn't mean each time you see a Character in some Cutscenes they will take up more Space. Nah, the Character Model exists once and gets loaded into the Cutscene and I highly doubt one weigths over 3-4 MB (Textures are the most).

Most of the New Stuff when it comes to the Characters still use the same Models from ARR (Merlwyb or Lahabrea)

You could say 70-75% of the Download are Texture Based / Pre-Rendered Cutscenes. (INB4 saying FFXIII did this and ENG/JPN Language made it weigth around 60GB)

So for those who have finished, what's the total install size after it's all done? Still downloading and current install of mine says 14.5 GB.

Gonna say its accurate. When I downloaded ARR on my laptop mid 2.5 the file was around 15gigs, so that was to include all of the content of ARR. Probably very compressed.

So i just started downloading the patch, and minde says 8365 MB so 8.3 gigs..

Once this initial download finishes, try to log in. You will prompted with an additional download for the Heavensward expansion (this may only apply to those with a digital registered copy?). This additional download is 3978.89MB.

its most likely just the new armor, skill animations, etc, so people who dont have the expansion dont crash when they see armor that doesnt exist for them

The laucher DL was 1.1 gig or something but the game DL is 20 gigs. Im on ps3 estimated time to complete 107min.

They must have taken the D2F ratio into consideration and utilized. Tip-to-tip efficiency

The window thing says it'll go up to 20 gigs by the end.

You on PC also? As PS3 and 4 wont have to d/load DX11 files which may make up the difference. If youa re PC too, then dunno XD

only around 4gb with ps4, I tried to restart client but there is no more download
