NPC pairings

Post your favorite NPC pairings! Go! (No, you may not ship your character with an NPC. That's cheating ;P)

Not really as many canon couples in XIV, but I love the Lalafells of the Weaver's guild quests I hope they got married and had lots of babies.

I think its safe to say who the Carpenter Guild Leader wants to be shipped with. (Forget names, been forever since I've been back there but I remember the ending quests)

As much as I want Aymeric all to myself *Cough* Aymeric and Lucia do make a good pair In my opinion. Then there is also Thancred and Yugiri or Y'Shtola (Or maybe them as a trio) Ok I need a cold shower now.... good night!

i always find some reaction of minfilia for thancred a bit.... well you see. i wonder if she.... nah it's not possible!

Tsk...Tsk....Tsk... Everyone knows the only pair is Yda and Papalymo, best couple of this game.

I was going to say Urianger and Moenbryda but we all know how that turned out... I really liked the pair from the archer quest line, Silvairre and Leih I think? And Tataru and Wedge! Aymeric and Lucia too seem like they could be awesome together...

I ship Yda and Y'shtola a lot! I feel like Yda and Papalymo have too much of that buddy-buddy thing for it to blossom in that kind of way. I really got excited when they were the two scions left in 2.0 and we had to bust the rest of them out from Imperial clutches.

I thought while doing the Hildibrand quest lines that Inspector Briardien and the reporter Ellie were really cute together and I was hoping for something to happen between the two.

[spoiler]It turns out that they do fall in love wth each other, and Briardien tells her at the end that he will wait for her devotly while she spends time in jail as punishement for her crimes, for her to come out. If that is not sweet, then I don't know what it is. I hope we will know more once the Hildibrand quest line continues in 3.0.[/spoiler]

That's a little creepy, considering how much he goes after F'lhaminn. And they met when she was 12 and he was in his 20s.

In 1.0 he always acted as more of a father figure to her. (Especially since he was hitting on her mom all the time, even if he does fail every time.)

Thancred/Y'shtola seems the most likely, although Thancred/Yugiri has potential too.

Is that a real line from 1.0? o.o Never played it myself.

TATARU AND WEDGE! - love those two.

And the Admiral and that old pirate captain who she consults with. Can't remember his name, but I'm pretty sure there's something there.

The other one that comes to mind is Yoenne over in South Shroud who gives you the Occupational Hazards sidequest. I got the distinct feeling she was into Irielle, who was completely oblivious and thought she was into her brother. Cute quest and npcs that will likely never be revisited.

I totally thought of them as a couple too. And my favorite at that.

I always viewed their relationship as, like, not a physical romantic relationship, but an emotional one. Being very supportive and protective of each other and always having the other's happiness and well-being in mind.

Thancred x all of the women, minus y'shtola . and some men (he's not sure what to think of that.)

Tataru x Wedge ... there seemed to have been something planned with them (atleast Wedge seemed to have a crush on her) but nothing happen

My absolutely favorite one that won't ever change is Raubahn x Nanamo (and when

we saw Raubahn's son soon after Nanamo's death and the fact that he is a Lalafell, I was 100% sure this couple was canon until he destroyed my hopes with that story about adoption xD Lies! All lies! Nanamo's blood lives on in her son! xD

) I wrote fanfiction about them and haven't gotten to the point yet where I can accept Nanamo's fate, not just because I like her as a character but also because of me shipping them so hard ._.

I also fell in love with Briardien x Ellie when the game at most reeaaally slightly hinted on romance between them (

and I was devastated when it turned out Ellie was the phantom, but they ended on a very sweet note and became the only canon couple I ship in the end, so it's fine ^^

) Of course, also fanfiction about them x)

Another couple I really loved is Momodi and Momoroto <3
I love imagining them when they were young and he was about to become the greatest goldsmith ever. Feels very sweet.

Now to the ultimate question: who do I ship Thancred with? xD
The answer is...Y'shtola ^^
I always liked pairings who have a bit of a conflict going on, and I love how Y'shtola seems to be one of the only females who really can deal with his flirtious behaviour.
But I only really discovered that pairing for me during the little exchange they had in the end of the 2.55 story finale :3

I also really like to think that Rhoswen secretly sneaks out at night to be with Carvallain xD

I always talk to all the NPCs in between the story quests to hear what they have to say, but I don't remember that AT ALL xD
Guess I just assumed that was never gonna happen anyway and therefore useless information :x

In a way, yeah. He's busy during the Crystal Tower part working with Biggs on something new and then helping out with the Crystal Tower part.

Though sadly it seems like Tataru is smitten with the Warrior of Light, always running to them and find comfort as well. In my mind the whole beach thing with Tataru smiling at the WoL when they left was her admiring the WoL and how the WoL is always there for her and has the utmost respect for the WoL.

Not Wedge having no time to woo her, but Tataru's desinterest.
While I do not get a romance vibe at all from her (for the WoL), maybe because the thought just didn't cross my mind as I'm female and Tataru is as well, she's a bit of a scatterbrain and would never notice Wedge's affections anyway^^°

While I could maybe accept the idea of a physical relationship, I don't think I could take seriously a sexual relationship between the two, though I did make a joke thread about it on gamefaqs. I just question the logistics.
