Not much but it's a start. At least we have the names of the abilities/traits and what level they get it at. And the quest requirements. Can't wait until next week so we can get even more info. :)

since the turrets are called auto turrets hoping all we have to do is set them lol :P

My guess Turrets will work like Demon Hunters in Diablo 3.

I will find out since leveling my Machinist will be the first thing to do once I unlocked the job.

One thing interesting I noticed is that Machinist gets the normal "Enhanced Dexterity" trait, every job got enhanced something trait. But they are also getting two levels of "Enhanced Action Damage" as well. I wonder why give them extra damage bonus over the other jobs as far as traits go. Maybe they lowered the Action damage over all on MCN to balance it out. I guess we'll find out how this all pins together next week. XD

Been reported they shoot your target.

I wish turrets had some control over them like summoner/scholar pets. :/

Just having it hit the same target is... pointless at times.

Actually on a different note am I the only one concerned how our mp regain turret is the short ranged AOE one? When we're likely to put it at the back with the healers? I find this concerning and counter intuitive.

Bard has the same thing. They have overall lower potencies in relation to melee and casters when it comes to a single GCD (highest they have is 300 which is a dot, compared to melee/BLM getting straight up 340+ on a non-dot, or summoners having 350 on just one of their three DoTs + pet damage)

Should be fine. I'm fairly certain that while pulsing MP/TP regen the turrets cannot fire anyway, and if you want to aoe again you can just pick it up and put it in range to aoe instead of pulse resource gain.

Any word on whether Machinist will use piercing or blunt damage?

Did they say if Machinist's will share gear with Bard's? Or anything else for that matter?

I find it likely that a lot of existing Bard gear would be adapted to Machinist (like CT/ST gear).. most likely for the same sets where they had Monk gear be shared with Ninja by adding Dexterity. Which explains why they would have done that vs. have it share gear with Bards, knowing that in the future there would be some shared Bard/Machinist gear. Rather than upon HW release, having Ninja, Machinist and Bard shared amongst the three classes. But future stuff will most likely be seperate, such as how they gave Ninja its own WoD gear with WoD being released after Ninja. Something I noticed that makes me think that is the i100/i110 PVP sets for Machinist are a reskin of the Bard set (but still seperate as is the gear for all jobs with that set... even SCH/WHM have seperate gear when it comes to those sets. I'd be surprised if they shared gear for anything above lvl 50, but at least I'll get more mileage out of my accessories.
