Physical copies of Heavensward from SE Store

I'm wondering when the physical copies are actually going to ship out. Considering the precise launch date is a week away now, and the Orders tab on the SE store has said Validated for over a week now. What's going on with that?

They will ship them out so you will be getting them on the 23rd. If you click on view on the download page and scroll down to where it shows your physcial copy it says right on there available on the 23rd

My collector's edition shipped yesterday from the SE store and i've heard several others talking about how theirs shipped. It shouldn't be long from now.

The way it works is you order it, pay w/e shipping you like and it still arrives on the 23rd. The only thing you are doing is giving the SE store a way to hold off sending your till the 22nd if you pay for over night. I paid for 2 day shipping and mine still has not shipped. I imagine the ones that shipped already paid for ground or something like that and need the extra day to get there. Kinda defeats the purpose of paying for a faster ship if it's just gonna sit there and wait. Never again. Gonna just pay for slow boat and let it still get here on the day of release. Save some money I guess.

Yeah I did the same thing, big mistake....I was hoping it would get here for early access so I wouldn't have to download it

I have not received a shipment notice and I pre-ordered physical PC CE on day one. My concern is getting my registration code to fully register the game by the deadline of June 27 ("end" of early access). So I've been wondering this, too.

I did the same as you and I received my shipping notice / tracking number this morning. its coming via UPS Ground for me. I live in AZ so I'm honestly not expecting it till next Tuesday. but since I've got EA it can come when it wants, thats why i chose the cheap shipping option :)

We should keep this updated until the first person gets their physical copy)

I'm on the east coast so mine will probably take longer. Still haven't received a shipping/tracking email. When you log into the SE store, does your order reflect shipment, too? Mine does not (yet). :( I have early access too, but early access "ends" on midnight June 26. If we don't have the full game code registered by then, idk what happens...

I live in Seattle and the email I received yesterday from SE saying that my CE shipped had a tracking link on it. After clicking this link I see it left from Tennessee at 6pm 6/15 and is currently in Illinois at 11:44am 6/16.

I'm on the east coast too and mine is still showing as "validated" and hasn't shipped yet. At least I haven't gotten any word yet that it's shipped out.

I've had no word on when mine will be shipping. Normally you would get an email on that. I have had no word.

It's interesting to hear some us orders have gotten shipping confirmation. I'm in the UK and preordered mine the day it was put up (once the store worked haha ♥ ) and they took my money but it still says preordered and that's it. Nothing about delivery or anything. But hearing the early access code gives us until the 27th has eased my mind some as I was having cold sweats at the idea that mine would be late and I would not be able to play as everyone flew off into the horizon.

East coast here as well, waiting on confirmation for CE as well. Stuck on validated. Should process and ship by Friday though, not too worried.

It seems like a lot of people didn't realize this. But what are you actually getting that is so amazing, besides the early access, that you have to have it right away? A statue? A music CD? Artwork? I'd take the early access first over those any day of the week. Also the in game items won't be released until next Tuesday anyways. The faster shipping is definitely not worth the money.

A lot of people seem to choose the faster shipping, but it did say on the pre-order page that the item would arrive on or before the 23rd even before you choosing a shipping option.

Have you considered some people want that game disk so they don't have to endure large downloads across multiple systems (more than one player per household), and can do the install knowing that whatever patch their might be from when the game went gold will be smaller than the full download.. having that before early access is why I paid for that super over priced shipping and it looks like i'll probably get stuck trying to download anyway.

So it does imply that your location and method of shipping will effect your delivery date. Once I saw this about 10 days ago, and the early access "end date", I tried to change my shipping method (to faster) but was told by the SE Store support that would not be possible.

The part in red (which is red on their page) to me would mean that that's when they were going to ship. Seems some have shipped, but many have not.

2 day shipping. No email confirmation or anything like that.

I pre-ordered on the day it went up on the store, I was charged/validated about a week or week and half ago, still haven't gotten a email notifying me about it being shipped yet. Got the cheapest standard shipping option.

Now I'm worried about shipping since it never even asked me about it :(

Well it is poor judgment on your part to expect it before the 19th or even before the 23rd for that matter since physical stores like GameStop won't even put the product on the shelves until the 23rd. There are laws (at least in the US) that companies have to abide by or they get fined.

To be quite honest, the only reason they have different priorities of shipping is to help alleviate congestion. It is not so you will get the product faster. Everyone will be getting the game at the roughly the same time whether you paid for 1 day shipping or the cheapest week long shipping.

The extra money you may or may not have payed isn't actually going to SE but to UPS as the fee to them for priority shipping. While it may help for some things like replacement parts, etc., its absolutely useless when it comes to a preorder where everyone is supposed to get it at the same time. You aren't going to get the preoder 4-5 days earlier than anyone else.

It just helps SE send out groups of packages which are more manageable by the carrier UPS. They are not going to send the product to UPS early, they are going to sent it so you get it either in time for early access (if required) or the game launch.

I agree that it was bad judgment on my part. It doesn't make it sting less. That's all. I'm just going to learn from this experience that the next time I order something from their store to always select the cheaper option or maybe to even go elsewhere.

I learned that the hard way before too lol That's why I only choose the cheapest shipping for any preorder game :) If the game is already out, though, that is a different story ;)

I had thought I chose the longer shipping time, but I apparently got two day shipping for some reason (since my friend and I went with whatever was cheapest, maybe we were drunk that day). Totally side-eying it now since I end up being anxious for my email telling me it's shipped. I live on the west coast of Canada, so I shouldn't be too worried with two day shipping on top of it, just very high amounts of anticipation upon hearing people getting notified of shipping.

Thank you so much, it does! I have an east coast friend who also has received no info yet, and a TX friend who did this morning.

I first thought these would ship out of California, but apparently from the posts they are being shipped out of TN. So with that it would make more sense that the Seattle person's shipped before ours. I'm crossing my fingers that we'll have our emails tomorrow morning, and I will definitely post. :)

My physical collectors edition shipped on the 15th, its still far away from where I live though but it says expected delivery on the 23rd. Picked the cheapest shipping.

I live on the west coast in Oregon the package is coming from Nashville, TN. Guessing if you live close to Nashville they haven't shipped yours yet maybe cause you would get it really early.

Texas, San Antonio paid the next day shipping but not received any indication it's been shipped.
