I love my Warrior, but I admit, I'm more of a fan of swords than axes (though, I'm a Monk at heart :P), but I can't say I'm not excited for the Warrior changes, even if I'm gonna give DK a chance.

Can't wait for either jubilation or depression in this thread once actual numbers are released.

Take solace in that Storm's Path is almost indispensable for progression, but for farm content, who knows?

If Squenix could actually design a Warrior axe in this game that actually looked threatening, sure. The Bravura looked like a Botany axe.

P.S. In a recent survey, over 66% of WAR were planning to switch to DRK

66% of WARs who took that survey (note: not all the WARs that actually play WAR did) wanted to play DRK from the start, or just prefer big swords over big axes. They could also be joining in on the FOTM hype, and will fall back to WAR down the line if DRK isn't truly for them.

I've always had a thing for 2-handed axes, it looks really badass and threatening. What I find interesting about the Dark Knight are the dark buff, dark skills, and dark debuff that they get, not the weapon that they use. I'll probably try one more for that.

I agree with this, too many axes look silly and not the kind you can use to defend your fellows with or to use against bosses to bash with.

I hope with the "dark" and "gothic" setting of Heavensward that we will get badass and threatening cool looking axes.

Zombies actually get up off the ground. So, the exact opposite.

Er, warrior is the only tank for me. It's not so much about weapons as it is about attitude- Dark Knights are edgy high schoolers, Paladins are boy scouts, and warriors are just really really angry like all the time.

Would love to try DRK. However, PLD just feels "right" for me.

Also lol @ the boyscout comment. PLDs are fearsome swordsmen who crusade to strange lands and defeat any who would spread corruption. We were dealing with the Syndicate before you all even got to the proper MSQs.

Dual Haken is literally almost the only decent looking axe in the game. Which is pretty sad when you think about it.

I will always enjoy glamouring to the titan axe because who doesn't love lugging around a absurdly massive boulder axe?

I have leveled and played both PLD and WAR, but since I never dedicated myself to tanking and thus never bothered to learn either class properly, I often found myself using PLD over WAR because it's so much easier to play, taking heavy hits? Press one button. Not helping? Press another button. Meanwhile WAR has to think ahead and know how to make use of those combo paths. But I digress.

Even if I played PLD more, I still preferred WAR, because when I a donned that two handed axe, I felt so big and strong, tanking attacks with my FACE! But still, I'm most likely going to go DRK, because PLD just doesn't do it for me, and I actually don't much care for axes, but love two handed swords.

Should I ever become a bad DRK, I'll lay down the heavy tanking gear and keep to poking things with a lance.
