Agreed, but they do love their excuses to drag out content and such. While I know it's part of their business model, i'm super appreciative when they make stuff simple.
The nun habit may be more appealing if I could dye it :3
I wager it'll be undyable at first (at least the DoW/DoM AF2 stuff), and then later on, there'll be another set of Alchemist Augments for turn-ins or something.
I kinda felt like AF2 was already a custom dye of AF1, at least for DRG. There's no difference in the texture of the equipment between Drachen and Wyrm, just Wyrm is a special metallic, dark green dye of Drachen I think.
YES please!!! I would love to get the Astrologian gear in Pure White or something like Abyssal Blue.
How else are alchemists supposed to make money?!
I like the idea of having glamour options requiring crafting. Right now, they really don't have much place except for consumables and the occasional accessories for raiding. If they weren't able to make glamour options, crafting in this game would lose a lot more meaning when it came to outside of crafting-for-crafters.
I just don't want it to be gated in some way behind desynthesis. That system needs to go.
I'm fine with glamour options requiring crafters.
But on Behemoth last I checked, a single piece of Augmented Drachen costs as much as a FC room, and when I told my FC that one of them chimed in that on his other server it was three times that.
And you need 5 of them...
Alchemist has to have something to do... these little books of "Blacksmithing for Beginners" are a joke. I was so disappointed when I saw that those were the Master Tome II rewards. *sigh*
The materials themselves aren't that expensive; they're all from GC materials and drop in expertise dungeons. The augmentations blocks themselves usually have anywhere from a 200k-500k markup becausethe recipe itself is both a 3 star and demimateria recipe. On famfrit, the augments usually go anywher from 500-700k depending on the class, but it literally costs as low as 100k in materials (much less if you get them from GC or ixali)
Sadly we arent sure of AF2 will be dyable from the start or few patches later.
As much as I'd like to see something easy to obtain in this game for a change, I have to agree that alchemy would be damaged in this case. Ofc they could always implement something else to replace it, we'd have to see.
That's true. I made mine and my husband's houses mostly by selling Augmented (before getting burned with the mindless undercuts and taking a time away from crafting).
This would be awesome. It would at the very least give more variety to gear instead of seeing everyone running around in the same stuff.
