Should new people bother completing the lv50 quests or just wait for 2 weeks for expansion to drop?

if you really want that exp not to go to waste, wait until expansion come out.
Personally, I don't think you should think to hard about that quest exp, dungeon run will give you a lot of exp to lvl up, and you have fate, story quest and side quest and more side quest in new expansion.
to anyone who buys heavensward yes.
I for one will think it extremely unfair to all of us who slogged through to the final cutscenes gaining NO XP all the while, if the people who are not yet level 50 suddenly start earning XP before reaching the current end content!
Why should they enjoy the benefit of xp gain so they walk through the gates of Ishgard already level 53 or possibly higher, while once again, we who are capped and waiting at said gate, and will have to deal with the new lands at only level 50?
Seeing as how everything at or around your level gives xp, the current Lv50 dungeons probably offer xp. It's just that we no longer see xp gained at Lv50, so the current dungeons may actually have xp (we just don't see it).
Brafloz hm will give xp jus very small amounts of it. It will probably scale like going from 1 to 50. Lvl 49 running copperbell mine will probably net like 150 exp for each enemy killed.
they said it in a interview.

tl;dr new info, or at least info I hadn't seen confirmed
Players who haven't cleared content get priority in DF.
Current level 50 dungeons will not yield experience from the start, maybe later.
New dungeons designed to take 30 mins on first playthrough, 16 mins when gear and strats optimized.
Having your level 50 ability far outweighs waiting for the less than a FATE's worth of XP you would get from waiting.
