PSN has been having a lot of issues again.

Seems like things just keep knackering up for them in one way or another. A week or two ago Lizard Squad was attacking them again. Who knows what is going on now.
I'm not on PS4, but PC instead. I have been having really bad latency issues as well for the past few days. It started only happening in dungeons and raids, but now it also happens regularly as well :\
Same for me, I've been having horrid lag for the last week. It started only in instances, but it started becoming an issue in every zone as well. I check my internet speeds regularly, so I know that's not an issue. I'm guessing its either SE's servers or my connection to them being slowed somewhere along the lines. Also for the last few days, I haven't even been able to log in to the game, tons of 2002 and 10104 errors. Anytime I DO manage to log in, I instantly have the disconnect symbol next to my name and then 90k disconnect a few seconds later and its right back to regular 2002 and 10104's. The worst part about this issue that's upsetting me is the fact that I just bought a 3-month subscription and a week of that has already been wasted. Very frustrating.
Additional notes: Sargatanas Server, Crestview Cable is my ISP, and I live in Central Oregon, US.
Sorry to hear that, that's very frustrating. I am still getting disconnected a lot lately, don't know what it is. Last time I had this issue a few months ago, I did Ping tests, getting a bunch of errors, reporting those errors to my ISP and of course, they act like it's completely not their fault and that it's all the game servers fault, so they were no help.
If someone or someone's from the dev team could look into this to be absolutely sure it's not FFXIV's servers or anything causing the crashes and errors, it would help a lot when dealing with my ISP on this issue.
Same thing is happening to me - it's extremely baffling because my internet is otherwise working OK (Comcast), and outside of instance I test my latency with combos and NIN mudras and I'm just fine, but once I get into instance it's lag-and-DC hell. Because the rest of my internet and non-instance content is working just fine, I can't even find a problem to fix.
pc and same issues and yet im sure SE knows its going on but because its so close to xpac they are prolly waiting for something else such as required patch to fix whatever is going on.
PS4, same issues for the past two weeks. Did my own speed tests and contacted my ISP and all is working well on my end. I get into a dungeon, however, and it's lag city. It's worse during the evenings. I can't farm an instance or run dungeons or anything. This is very disheartening, considering Heavensward is right around the corner...
ISP - Centurylink
Server - Excalibur
Location - Utah, United States of 'muriKAH
Fix the god damn lag. I can't even do Mog EX which is dirt easy, because of the stupid lag spike i get. This is really irritating beyond bullshit.
Lag is getting worse every day, on my end it's around the same time every night, 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM PST. It only lag in FFXIV and not other online activity or games.
ISP: Verizon Fios. Never had to complain about my internet so far other than now with the game. Anything we can do to figure out where it's coming from?
Lag has always been an issue - at least for me. Doesn't matter what server group I'm on, but it has been since day 1. It's especially troublesome when I'm melee'ing, and a red box or circle appears at my feet. Doesn't matter how quick I am -- it's already too late. I will be out of it for like 3+ whole seconds, the circle disappears and I get hit (sometimes one-shotted). I heard there's a workaround, but it's only viable for ranged. So, I have since been slowly leveling ranged.
As far as harder lag goes... I've seen that too, usually short-lived tho, but I suspect it's those lizard guys that like DDOS'ing things. That, or a really bored and disgruntled basement-dwelling hambeast with a botnet.
Yea, I have been having serious lag issues lately. A lot of Error 90k's and 2002's trying to log back in! Please, please, please! Do what you can to fix the lag issue!!! :"(
I hope this is temporary, I just came back, and left the last time because of the latency problems I was having in dungeons/trials. 25/25 verizon fios with nothing downloading or streaming in the background, always beginning to occur around 8pm est. Its the same as last time, stuttering in dungeons/raids/trials. Probably packet loss again. Every other game works fine during this time of the day.
I can't even race chocobos without getting lag spikes now. C'mon SE.. at least acknowledge this.
Update on my problem. I finally decided to try WTFast, the free version, and the problem seems completely fixed. I knew there was a bad node in between me and the servers that has never been fixed, and i seem to be able to get around it now. Ive only had 1 lag spike in a few nights of playing, whereas before I had fairly consistant rubber banding, every night.
Running winMTR, the problem seems to be at the final hops near the SE servers. I'm getting packet loss at 192.34.76.10, lots at 199.91.189.242, and a few even at the final hop of 199.91.189.30.
Been tracking it for months now and it happens during prime time NA hours...
I've been having disgusting lag spike aswell lately, usually around 7-8pm+ EST. At first I noticed it mostly in dungeons because I couldn't register my mudras but now it affects me on the world map to the point where mining 1 single unit would take me 10-15 seconds. What baffles me is that I'm paying for High Speed net and I'm living right by the servers (Montreal)...Hopefully they'll fix this before HW.
I'll chime in to say the game has become unplayable for me right now due to lag. Mudras on NIN expire before I get the chance to use them.
Another happy comcast customer.
~ I did recently contact support @ my ISP about it, and they are blaming a cable outage that spans like 3 states. No word on when they are getting it back up either, the best they could do was give me a credit to my account for this month.
Wow... I had my first bout of lag spikes last night in nearly a year. Running T12 everything froze and sped up to a complete wipe. I figured I was definitely the cause and apologized. Turns out it was the bard... haha. Comcast customer for the record on hi-speed internet.
Ya this latency in raids is a pain. I've been desperately attempting to clear T13. And every time I get a decent experienced group, we get all the way to ahk morns, then a healer, or a tank starts having all kinds of connection issues. It's so frustrating. what ever it is, may be ISP related. I haven't had very many issues, intermittent issues with actions not firing. But other people outright are getting disconnected, or rubberbanding like crazy. I'm not sure why it's effecting some people and not all. It's why I think ISP is a issue, and also sense SE did mention some ISP maintenance a few days ago that was going on.
