PS4 Pre-order confusion

So I'm pretty much at my wit's end right now. Digital still isn't out for Heavensward on the PS4 in the US and I'm not sure if there's a cut-off date for the Pre-order bonuses. If it hasn't magically appeared in the PSN store tomorrow I'm gonna go pre-order a physical copy, but this leads to a whole new line of questioning.

If there's anyone else who's bought a physical copy and got a pre-order code, which store did you buy it from? Both Best Buy and Game Stop are in opposite directions from my house so I'd rather not spend 2 hours in all just trying to pre-order Heavensward. I would also ask if anyone on PS4 has been able to redeem their pre-order code for it yet and if it's possible to redeem it online.

Makes me wonder about the US PS3/PS4 mail out of codes (if the site is still saying pending for those codes for people)...I'm still waiting here for mine. I hope the codes get sent out at the same time that pre-order is available...whenever that is.

Btw OP you should at least wait it out until next Tuesday since it definitely won't magically update today as you would hope for. If it's not there next Tuesday when the store updates then I think it's safe to say it won't be coming at all, then we can all get physical instead.

I was able to redeem my pre order code on the PS4 - Im from the EU did it all in lower case :X

Havent heard any cases of the NA codes working yet though.

The deadline is only two and a half weeks away, and when it's broken (which it clearly is) it can take longer than that to fix the problems, so anyone who wants either early access or pre-order items is running out of time. If you don't care about either early access or pre-order items, then sure, if you wait until a month or two after release I'm sure it'll be working smoothly by then and you'll be able to just buy the expansion and register it. The problem is that it's not working that smoothly for those trying to pre-order it.

PSN isn't accepting orders. SE's store isn't accepting PS4 CE orders. Amazon has accepted orders but isn't sending out the pre-order codes until it's too late to register them. Apparently there are some local stores that are supposed to have pre-order codes but don't. ... I'd really like to know whether there's anyplace we can pre-order from that actually is working, because so far, all I've heard is one place after another after another that's not. And still no word from SE about what's going on with any of them.

You'd think SE would have learned after the clusterfuck that ARR launch turned into. It's not like this is the first time SE has ever tried to sell something. They should have the kinks worked out of the process for letting us buy it. (Have they ever had a release that ran smooth?)

I just redeemed my code for PS4 and it still says "pending". Hoping it all updates on the 2nd...would like to be able to go to Ishgard from the comfort of my recliner on my 50' TV lol

Seeing as how I just got notification that they are charging me for the collector's edition shortly after the first of June, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find I'll have the physical pre-order on my porch before the 18th anyway. and if not whats the worst I'll lose? a couple of days headstart? O.O oh noes I didn't get World First Bard to 60.. oh wait, I'm not gonna do that anyway :D

Wrong actually. 22 days away for early access, and 26 days for launch. 22 days is over a week less than a month. We have 3 weeks left, and no game available for preorder on the PSN store comes this close to game launch. Preorders are usually available months ahead of time, or at worst a month before launch. So concern is natural at this point, and is why even people that use to say "It will come when it comes. Be patient." are now expressing concern. And if it isn't on the PSN store after the June 2nd store update, since they update it weekly, then that's going to be even more reason to worry. There's also a cutoff point for the codes which is before the early access.

The code dose nope come with the game but your email and the full game is not due out till the June 23 so your not understanding why ppl like me are upset i want to pre order the game but. SE site is some how sold out of the ps4 CE {or on waiting until they won't say} and there is no other CE beside the 129$ NA ver pc on the other hand gets a 59$ CE and 129$ sold on the site lucky them. psn NA/EU are left in the dark about when we can pre order the game as well as steam and last will the NA codes work in time? SE dose not care to say

The deadline for anything is gonna be one day before its release. So in this case as long as you preorder before June 23rd you will get the preorder bonus items. Early access is just that , early access. Let's suppose you come in on your ps4 and buy the game on the 22nd of June. Guess what you get your bonuses and because you bought it digitally you have no code to fool with. Relax it will be there. Of course you won't get early access buying that late but you get your items.

i have looked everywhere, and have not found where there was a deadline said anywhere. there isnt one on the preorder site, and there isnt anything said in the preorder thread, so i am inclined to think that this deadline has been created by the players, until otherwise is proven.

All the forum (player) references to it I've seen discussed June 14th as a deadline for registering the pre-order codes, but in a search on that date and Heavensward the only reference I've found directly from SE is in their Store saying "Orders received after June 14th, 2015 11:59pm PST will arrive after the Release Day." When we have to order it by and when we have to have received and registered the code are two different things, so I'm not sure whether that's the deadline that the posts I've seen were referring to, or whether there's something else that date as well.

i would think that any order after that date wouldnt be able to make it to the person that is ordering in time, thus them saying any order after that date will arrive after the 23rd.

I'm certain most of us couldn't care less about the bonus items, at least I really don't, what matters most to me is the early access.

I'm more interested in the bonus items (particularly the earrings, but the circlet looks nice too, couldn't care less about the minion, though). I doubt I'm going to get a chance to play that first weekend anyway, but even if I could, I don't really see the advantage of doing so then rather than a couple days later.

Well I just figured if early access is no issue then most could just get a physical version say from Amazon even if that means missing out on early access. One of the main reason like some here about wanting the digital from PS Store is already having funds for it on the store.

Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to use the multiquote option properly.

I preordered the physical at my nearest EB Games about a month or so ago, and got the preorder code (for the items and early access) two weeks ago... entered it after I found out that the issues with the code causing data corruption or w/e had been resolved. Sad thing is... here in Australia, EB Games has a weird method for this preorder code. Only those who preorder the Heavensward + Full game version will GET the code. Those who just preorder the expansion by itself, will NOT get the code.

Thing is... the CE debacle was mishandled right from the start. Rumor was only about 200-300 CE's were initially available on EB Games AU website for purchase via online store only which were all sold within minutes. Then a second batch came round and, again, were sold within minutes. There are a LOT angry people who just want to know what is going and when it'll be available on PSN for order. I'd go one further and ask if the PSN digital download (when it comes out, hopefully when the store resets next month) will be either the standard edition OR collector's edition. But... SE and Sony are being tightlipped about it...

ah, eb games being as corrupt as usual. as for the digital version, yes, there is a digital collectors edition. it is currently available on the JP side of PSN.

I've seen a screenshot someone took of the Heavensward download on their JP Account. So it IS available... Hopefully when the PSN store resets next week, we'll see something similar for NA (NTSC) and EU (PAL) PSN stores... which as Australia is under PAL, we might see something for us Australian members. Just... need to know a idea of A: How much it'll be and B: Is the digital CE a limited time deal or not... If B is a yes, then I'm S.O.L. as I won't have the funds til 2 days after the reset >.<

there is no reason to really worry about if there is a limited amount of digital CE. data is not something that can run out.

Japan makes ppl pay about 6000yen or so for NA it be about 59.99$ for the CE EU not sure

Preorder bonuses will probably be the same as before. You should get them right up to the day before release.

I personally purchased 2.0 on release A DAY before early access and a few of my friends picked it up the day before release in order to get their preorder bonuses.

They are NOT going to screw a whole group of people who purchase digitally. It'll probably be out on the PSN for June 1st or the first week of June when everyone starts getting charged for their preorders.

There is no way they won't get it ready in time for EA, though. The community team is very careful about information that they release so that they don't create more problems.

That's what I thought. I'm just waiting it out till next Tuesday, if not I'll head myself to a local GS and get me a copy and save my PS funds for something else. I'd prefer digital cause I can just download asap and start playing right away.
