<Request> Duty Status QoL

Duty Status - Quality of Life

Currently our Duty Status Timer reflects "Average Wait Time" of "more than 30min."

Update: I'd like to see our "more than 1 hour", "more than 2 hours".

This would be more beneficial to players if something is going to be a very long queue verse something that may only be 45min wait or 90min wait.

I ran a test to see how long I would sit in a queue for Wolves Den. Went swimming, made some lunch, watched a show then came to this:

Now I understand its Wolves Den and <insert pvp is dead, pvp sucks comment>. But keep in mind this is just an example of how if someone who wanted to complete a Challenge Log with the Duty Finder they might not want to sit around and wait if the Duty Status window said Average Wait, "more than 3 hours." We all got lives and we all want to maximize what we can do in game and be more time efficient. xD

If it is over 30 minutes, then... you're SoL

I agree with the OP. Also, I get the feeling that the DF "average wait time" is based off of people who actually get into the dungeon/trial/raid. If so, then it should also reflect people who wait longer than the current "average wait time" and then leave the DF. It's easy for it to maintain a low "average" if everyone has been quitting after waiting for two hours instead of continuing to wait.....

Queue time? What queue time? *Tosses shield in the air and catches it*. Yeah, my poor DPS alt doesn't get to play much cos of that.

lol yea my when I queue my tank for almost anything its like the greatest thing ever. Another reason to have a more detailed Duty Status. If I wanna queue something and come to find out its average wait of over 1 Hour, then i'll probably do something else during that time. If it says More than 30 that could easily be 31min... We just don't know..

Updated some log from testing a longer then normal queue in Duty Finder. I have seen upwards of 1hr+ as a DPS for things like CT as well.

Rather than listing an average wait time, I think it'd be better if it showed our actual number in the queue and updated it every 30 seconds.

Completely Agree. Under 30min you get an actual minute like Average 7, 19, 27..ect.. No reason that can't be extended out

I understand that the Duty Finder puts people in a first come, first serve basis right?

I think it would be a QoL if SE can sort of display how many parties are ahead of us? So if I see that queuing Aurum Vale would have me behind 4 more parties, then I can reasonably expect around an hour or so (considering average dungeon run is around 20 minutes)

Oh and

"Adventurer needed for in progress party: TANK" display thingy.

I've gone in an Aurum Vale, stuck just after Coin Counter for almost half an hour... waiting for a tank. If I had joined in sooner, they wouldn't have to wait that much.

Besides, I think it would make more people help.

This. A bit of information would actually help me out. I wouldn't have sat in a queue for 2 hours the other night for the last trial I needed to clear before the expansion dropped if I knew it was going to be 2 hours when I signed up.

Change it from "More than "30" mins..." to "Why not try queuing as a Tank?"
