Loving the new summoner job trailer

thank you for making summoner amazing, the animations are exactly what i wanted in 2.0 but never got, i will live without the new pets but really those spells are amazing, ty ty ty !!!!!!!
p.s. astrologian is wonderful as well, looking forward to that job as well

Smn job trailer? You talking about the class skills trailer? All I saw in that was similar to what we have now, just different colors and flashy animation. I was disappointed that it was almost identical to what we have already.

Like monk punches things (now with kicks), NIN slashes things (but drops a dagger at times), and every other job do their respective same thing they did O_o;;?

To each their own on opinions, as the SMN thread shows (and all others :) ). I also thought the SMN had a good trailer, with a slight reservation. I wanted to see some more flash as SMN was nearly the least flashy of all classes (Enkindle, and wait lol) now they've got Bahamut attacks... pretty OP. Not only is it a good looking spell (imo) it is also an instant spell that is akin to summoning a primal shortly (or sort of a Yuna Dissida action), also a request 'some' people wanted for SMN (different type of primal DD). The reservation is on the pets, not sure till I see more but it could also be good - pets being more functional (with more abilities), I personally thought they could have added a few more situational pets like WoW or other. I don't see anything wrong with having rock paper scissors as long as it's clear cut "this tanks, this enfeebles, this aoes, this single target - and all are very useful" (or make a system that encourages cycling), but perhaps the three archetypes getting more abilities will just make the summoner more condensed powerful easier to use version of that? Unsure. The glamour system I hope allows SMN pets the option to look different enough to be powerful and reasonably cool, not just the option to select different Egi looks but different upgraded Egi looks (closer to FFXI, WoW, Aion, any FF game, and farther from FFXIV Egi - which are not cool imo, ifrit is ok [NOT saying 100% planet sized primals, I just referenced what I meant]).

So without much information it 'feels' like they were listening to the feedback while also making compromises (its dangerous to drastically change a job underneath someone, better to just keep rename and make another), it is fair for people not to like the compromises but at this time we still have near zero information on the Egi's change, so for those wanting better pets it might actually be good changes (and "glamour?" looks for me, lol).

Random: Still would really love to see a Terra like shifter, harmonixer (Shadow Hearts) off shoot of primal power in the future. Good luck balancing if a Druid kind of jack of all trades (doesn't have to be) but, I just like the concept of transforming (and imagine wearing primal mutated "armor" would be cool looking).

I'm waiting for MNK to get Hadouken and Hurricane Kick. Seriously...

Also, now that SMN gets Bahamut, I MIGHT level SMN. I can't get over the fact they have super ugly pets though. Just... fix it god d@#$ it! ><!!!! *rage boils*

i really love the fact that smn gets the bahamut spell, and that it is not just another pet but really how i wanted it to look like similar to disidia yuna summoner, they finally started listening and reworked summoner, maybe some people won't like the change or wanted a different change but i wanted this one and i am sooo happy!!!!

I've always hated the targeted cast animation where the SMN/SCH reverse the book to "show the pages" when the spell shoots out. "Look at this picture I drew!" And the enemy takes damage.

I've always felt it looked dumb. I would've preferred that, for example, the book is held in the reading position, pages flip over during casting and an orb materializes above the open pages, then a flip of the right hand (while the book stays in the same position) and the orb shoots out.

Basically like how the Astrologian keeps the globe hovering in one hand.

i didn't like any animation except tri disaster one which was perfect, but now in the trailer i see crazy bio animation, i see scribing runes in the air, bahamut spell the way i wanted, and that white pillar of magic at the end, and loving it
