Wow, that's a lot of adjustments and I'm loving all of them. Especially the guildleve icons.
IM LOVNG THESE CHANGES !!!!
CANT WAIT FOR 1.19 !!
GOOOO!!!!!!!! :D!
Oh good.
Hopefully this will make things easier for people who use the keyboards.
Though I'm almost certain someone will have something negative to say about this.
that looks so epic. what could anyone possibly say that is negative about this lol
I like the small things, item rarity displayed, Xp gained displayed above characters head ect.
All great, I know a lot will be happy about the sound effect settings. Can we now bind arrow keys to camera? Dont remember if there is even a camera settings to change ijkl. UI Lock, when they stated about the font size increase i swear someone requested this lol wonder if they had already planned it or was last minute, either way im sure mouse players will appreciate a lot.
Objects such as aetherytes and summoning bells will be made directly targetable., again very nice for mouse user, even controller user haha, i always try clicking it forgetting i cant. Plus it will be more native for the new player who is un-aware of the menu option.
All great additions.
The targeting improvements are fantastic. 1.19 is going to be huge—so excited!
Really pleased with these, great to see how much care and attention to detail they're giving (although I'm not going to lie, all the different targetting systems have me pretty confused right now, although that's more me than the game...).
Keep it up team!
Totally misread the line:
and was about to rage post about not being able to set the arrow keys, then I read it again and realized what it said...Quote:
Fixed Key
Players will be able to map functions to previously fixed keys.
* The following keys will remain fixed.

ScrollLock

A lot of great changes, can't wait for 1.19! The rarity colored items looks cool, will make a lot of endgame people happy or mad when they don't get the drop ;) . Audio controls will help for my friend complaining how annoying sound effects are. Looks like keyboard and mouse user controls will be getting better and better with each patch. Myself I probably need the 3 action bars displayed at once and little bit more refined controls to give it a shot again, hopefully next patch. But very pleased with all these changes :D
this game supports dolbly PLIIz? lol
There was no mention of adjustments to the way we look for.. or make.. parties
It would be awesome if se could make a party formation system that people will actually use for 1.19
Loving the color for the rarity, now to wait someone to whine that its so WoW-ish.
Ambient sounds off................. THANK YOU!
Can't wait.
I read through again and saw one thing I'm sad about:
EDIT: Actually never mind, if we can access the micro menu now, then that means I can still access the emote list, I just won't have quicker access to it.Quote:
The following changes will be made to Gamepad settings in FINAL FANTASY XIV Config:
* The function to bring up the emote list will be abolished.
SHINY!
It's a whole slew of desired fixes. :D
•Ambient Sounds
Adjust ambient sound volume.
Is that the sound of rain and sandstorms ?????????
UI lock, YAY.
Also, targettable Aerythe, finally lol
yep, rarity color. derp.
Oh well, they're cool changes, i like that '-'
I was waiting around for an update, then I saw the UI update on main page
At first I was like :(
then I read it,
then I was like :D
approved ('.')b
I'm not sure if by "function" they mean via the gamepad, or via the micro menu, or both. I'd hate to have to type up an emote every time. I usually do, but I often forget what emotes we have and at times it's so much easier to just open the menu, find what you want and use it than remembering how it's spelled. Other than that I can't think of any gripes with these adjustments. I'd love to be able to finally use items from my menu without having to resort to mapping a controller button to it with Autohotkey, or press U each and every single time I wanna pop a potion or ether. The micro space feature they're adding is what I've wanted for ages. :D
EDIT: But could a dev confirm for us if it's being remove completely or just as an option available to be mapped to a gamepad?
I love all the additions, cool stuff.
As for the item color coating, its wonderful. In PSO Red containers on the floor made me super happy so did equipping the yellow text items I got from them. So I don't see it as a WoW thing at all.
i hope this fixes the issue with me having to registry bind alt to shift just so i can use macros. because it says nothing about being able to rebind alt to shift. (why the hell did they choose alt over shift.... alt +7 anyone?)
I hope the rarity color thingy means we might be able to hyperlink our items in the future.
still can't hide my own name?
Oh well, all other changes are okay.
One of these days we will be able to drag n drop and toggle our names off!
The /tell alert will be useful for all the botters, I'm sure.
Would love if they included a Top-Down HP/MP/TP display bars option. I'm sick of the side to side version. I'm sure others are too.
Very nice changes!
Maybe now I can finally take the game off Mute.
What are Ambient Sounds?
These are great adjustments and improvements.
Hate to nit-pick, but anyone else feel the developers should re-do these leve faction icons?
They look out completely out of place.
weather, wind, those annoying birds chirping away in the shroud.
I'm really happy about all the listed changes. All though i hope that by allowing us to target the aetherites and retainer bells directly, were not going to be blocked from the menu interaction's to use them.
I dig it.

I hope this is the right place to make this suggestion.
When selecting abilities and spells, the help bubbles block my view while in combat.
Can we toggle the help bubbles on and off from the hotbar?
As Ronnie Colleman would say. YEAH BUDDYYYYYYYYY!!!
