[Request] Can we be allowed to pay more than 6 months upfront?

First off, I'm not asking SE to lower the cost of the subscription for people that pay for a 1 year or 2 in advance. Keep the same as the 6 month subscription. My own goal is much simpler than that, and this way it would be in everyone's benefit.

To get it out the way with, I want Cloud Strife's outfit. It's a real peeve of mine that it's gated behind a 2 year subscription. I would have played this game sooner if I could have.

That said, I'm not saying SE should unlock the outfit, make it "easier" to get, make it obtainable elsewhere or anything. I'm simply asking SE to ALLOW me to support them HERE and NOW. I WILL support them for over 2 years. I have enjoyed my time with FFXIV, I recommend it over every other MMO, and I will continue to play it.

To everyone that has the outfit, I'm not trying to "diminish" the outfit's importance or weight by asking for a 1 year / 2 year sub option. You got the outfit because you have supported the game for over 2 years, and I want to support the game just as much. I am willing to do so by paying the same that you invested.

Honestly, this might seem trivial or pathetic, but it's something that I would like access to. I will eventually be able to get the outfit, but I would like that day to come sooner if at all possible.

I started playing in Beta 3 of 2.0. I got not one, but two free 30-day game time extensions due to getting the PC and PS3 versions. But because those don't count towards veteran rewards, I'm always way behind on the latest vet rewards and it makes me kinda sad.

So I feel your pain. I really do.

I'd like a year long subscription too. I pay stuff upfront as I hate having stuff come out of my account monthly. Six months is pretty good but longer lengths would be appreciated.

I'm exactly the same... I have to wait until the end of July to renew my subscription as I bought PS3 and PC version meaning I got 60 days free. I would appreciate and pay a year sub easily.

Saying that, I can't say i'm desperate for the cloud outfit as I didn't enjoy his character as much as the other people that were part of ffvii: advent.

i would support this, because at times i have a lot of money so i bulk buy a lot of subs, usually a year of PS+ a year of netflix, ECT, that way i don't have to worry, but ffxiv only lets me do 180 days :c and when it runs out i don't have any money to resub :c like now my sub is going to run out on the 22nd of june (the day before heavenward) and i can't reuse because i am using the money to get heavens ward :C but if i paid for a yearly sub i wouldn't have this issue until x-mas D:

You could just buy a ton of game time cards and apply them on your account. That's how people have been getting the sub rewards earlier so far. But yeah, longer subs would be a nice alternative.

The issue here is, if they did that, they'd then go ahead and add vet rewards for people who are not only currently up to date, but also suddenly buy 2 years further in advance.
Then you'd be wondering how you could get them to change the system so you can have THAT item earlier as well.

Personally, I would've paid for 6 months this time around, but as that would put me in a bad place as far as Veteran Rewards go, I have to inch closer to a reasonable point in time before slapping on 6 months to unlock a tier, rather than just about undershoot it, and then have to wait 6 months to get it.

Yeah, I started my 6 months sub about a month after launch and have to wait that extra month for items lol, so I feel for ya having to wait even longer for stuff that others have had for a while :(

I've been on 1 month recurring ever since the game's launch, I only just now decided to get the Standard rather than the Entry subscription, but yeah, the way Veteran Rewards are handled is making it a nuisance to try and synch up. In your case, I'd suggest going for 2 single months, then 3 months, and then back to your 6 month cycle so you'll always get the best available rewards.
