RIP fat chocobo

flying around with tho little wings is going to cause them to work 3x hard than walking

They are ascending Heavensward.

I was thinking about that when watching the stream. They are going to have to intake a lot more gysahl greens to maintain that weight.

it kinda look like that they had there own gravity and was floating in the air...lol

Idk how I feel about the fat choco or goobue flying, the designs of certain mounts just don't seem to be anywhere near capable of flight. Might just be me though, I'm just afraid that kind of stuff will break immersion.

It looked like it wad swimming with that leg action.

Theory-

Flight of Dragons Maybe the Fat Chocobo works similarly except using Ghystal gas

I'll be flying mine even though i could have swore yoshi said it wouldn't make sense for them to fly, just cannot remember when so i may be wrong. Then again elemental resistances is too hard to do so I guess this will have to suffice.

Depends of what is filling its body. Gysahl gas is well known to be lighter than air.

Just don't use it near flames...

At lest when they die from having a heart attack we can finnaly have a good reason to have Kentucky fried chocobo.

FanFest London. He made a joke about it when a fan cried FAT CHOCOBO for Flying Mount. He said "Maybeeee....." and then imitating a Fat chocobo flying and crashing

And about the discussion about the fat chocobo, that mount is here for have fun. A flying fat chocobo is fun. "FUN", you know this word? Or you all too busy on calculate the most effective way to cap next tier of tomestones?

Fat Chocobo is fun.
Therefore they care about it.
Why is it ok for moogles, with their tiny wings, to fly around, but not ok for the avatar of determination that should not be to fly?

Fat Chocobos don't fly, their body mass is so massive that they are able to gain buoyancy from the oxygen in the air and "swim" through the sky. Notic how they kick their legs like they are swimming? That isn't a flying fat chocobo, it's a Swimming Fat Chocobo.

I'm worried that by flapping his poor little wings so hard my fat chocobo is going to have a stroke. :(

Sorry Fat Chocobo, can't hear you over the massive flapping sound you make when you fly

I wouldn't mind so much if the animations were comical. If it looked like it was struggling to fly. It's too graceful though and it looks like it's swimming.
