Also don't feel pressured to do the high end content if it's not what you really like to do. I've only done up through the binding coil's turn 4 (first coil) And have only beaten Garuda EX. Everyone enjoys different things so yeah.

Can always join a free company too if you want to try to be more social, plenty of them are friendly and willing to help out.

The one i'm in is In Shambles (tag is <Wreck>) is friendly and fun to chat with. Also pretty laid back if that helps to help you get settled in (don't need to be in a static to be in a group oe anything). Many of us will help out if we can. Don't really even need to chat if you don't want to. Same thing for voice chat (i haven't gotten on the fc teanspeak and i've been with them for like a year haha).

That being said, I'll say finding an active FC that meshes with you is the best way to enjoy your experience in game.

There are plenty of social FCs around (and unlike WoW, raiding can be done outside of guilds, so there's flexibility).

I'll definitely make a note to reach out to you in game later ( since I'm at work as I'm writing this reply,) but feel free to look up my guild Eternal Sanctum (ES). We welcome new and old players a like and we do a lot of primal and coil clears when our two statics are not raiding.
We try to include our members in clears as much as possible.

Also, its never to late to start these things. What gave you that idea? You can start them whenever you want. We still do BCoB, SCoB, and we're working on the early stages of FCoB. We even help people catch up to the current story.. whatever you need.

And don't worry - crafting is still a really fun part of the game, and can bring you a huge advantage when it comes to getting your own resources. :)

I'll echo what Seraphina said, as I'm a FC Mate of her. We have all different ranges of players from casual to hardcores but we all play with each other and are always willing to help each other out.

I understand where you are coming from. I am in a private Free Company with 2 family members because we mainly like to just chat with each other. We have a private linkshell just for us 3 but I would be happy to invite you simply because I know :exactly: where you're coming from. I normally play between 6-10pm Monday - Friday and a lot of the day on weekends. My 2 other family members work from home so they are online all day. It's not much to offer but I can offer sincere friendliness and maturity.

I'm really shy too, though you may not think it. The thing I've found that helps a lot in online games is to roleplay, and make the character you play be somebody who isn't shy. It helps to break the ice, and that way if you get rejected, it's the character you are RPing getting rejected, not you.
Also keep in mind that we're all a bunch of nerds sitting indoors playing an MMO--so we all already have our #1 hobby in common.

Also, at TS: If you checked the other threads in the forum (gorezilla1's in particular), there will be a server event later to celebrate the end of the game (before Heavensward anyway).

I can guarantee you I will be on every night this week from about 6:30pm to 10:00pm (PST). Friday I'll be on til about midnight. Saturday and Sunday I'll be playing all day long.
