Ponies vs Majestic SE plz

I can't get psyched up about ponies... I want a horse like a Clydesdale, not a pony. They are amazing, majestic and beautiful horses. If you don't know what it is just google "Clydesdale." SE can we pls have a mount like this? I just don't feel right being a massive Roegadyn in heavy armor running around on a pony. I know they get bigger based on race size, but still... it's a pony. Pleeeeease???

I'd have to agree. We had a 'horse event' in game for the year of the horse, and honestly I was really sad when they didn't give us a normal horse mount and just got those god awful horse helms.

It's funny how you don't see people demanding for those helms, like ever, but there's high demand for horse mounts like this.

I'm hoping we might get something in heavensward, but I'm greatly doubting it, mostly because of flying mounts being the new thing.

Right? When you hear pony you think, baby horse? Ok I'm a 6'5 300 lb Roegadyn... just no... I'm not riding that around. Gonna be the same with Au Ra, can't and won't be able to take anyone or even myself seriously while riding around on one as either of those races.

Isnt there a war horse mount thats obtained throught pvp? Dont know if it fits what you are looking for but iirc its a proper horse :).

But majestic flying sparkling ponies in heavensward.....how can you not want those?

It's pretty much the same size, I want a clydesdale.

Agreed a clydesdale would be awesome , they are gorgeous and massive!!

(but first plz plz fix tails and mane on all current ponies so that its natural moving, soft and flowing....not like the stiff cardboard look of the current ones errrr)

There IS a horse mount for every grand company, but from what I've seen from PvP, some grand companies have HORRID wait times to get in just for a loss, while one GC tends to win about 70% of all matches, so you'd have to change your GC to be more likely to win (Mainly cause from person experience, immortal flames sucks, like 1 out of 23 wins)

Wouldn't that be cool if they just made the ponies into actual large draught horses? yes!

Well considering it was stated that horses are not native to Eorzea (only unicorns are, and they're an endangered species), and furthermore, are stated as being actually inferior to chocobos in Eorzean conditions, it's little wonder you're only seeing one particular breed of horse here as they're slow to be introduced from the Far East by Doman refugees and others.

In fact, the only true horse mount currently in the game is the Grand Company Warhorse from Frontlines (unless you count the unicorn as a horse) - the Primal horses, Nightmare, Kirin and Sleipnir are all just aetheric constructs and are not actually living creatures.

Having said that, more variety is always good of course, so a workhorse breed like a Clydesdale would be nice to have (an equine equivalent to the Draught Chocobo perhaps?).

Yeah I know they could work something in there. There's tons of new stuff coming in the future that'll get worked in.

Would be awesome if they could at least beef up the Warsteeds to look like a draft horse. Something! lol
