PSN down (PS3/PS4 users)

Literally seconds away from logging in and the PSN drops, lol. Hopefully it comes back by the time dailies restart so I can do my beasties.

Yep, it's been down for at least a half hour. Not sure if it kicks you off, but if it didn't and you are in game on playstation, don't sign out.

Yeah, Sony dropped the ball and told everyone to cycle their networks for 20 min lol. It could potentially be a DDOS attack from Lizard Squad again, though they're not outwardly claiming it.

As far as I know, there was a flash sale. It was being reported on by IGN, but then PSN went down shortly after the sale started.

Woot, I managed to get on~ Hope its working for everyone else now too.

It really really sucks big time that we have to have this extra level of PSN verification that's not technically needed to access the game itself (as evidenced by the fact that PSN outages and maintenance often don't impact those already logged on, unless they log off and back on again). Would be nice if there was a Plan B that the game could switch to when PSN officially goes down to allow authentication using just the SE ID and password until it goes back up... when we had those DDOS attacks in December I came close to losing a humongous investment in time and resources because I couldn't water my stupid garden.

Go figure this happens at the end of my work week when for the first time I can actually do group content like raids and dungeons vs. solo stuff I can safely afk from in the case of an interruption. If this is another DDoS attack they should execute whoever is responsible.

When I saw this, I turned off my PS4 and caught up on Dancing with the Stars. :)

I really hate when this happens. :\ Luckily I caved the last time this BS happened, and bought it for PC as well. Now coming to the realization I need ANOTHER HW purchase. >.<

You all need to do something else if PSN is down.

like play The Last of Us or go out and eat dinner! :D

I distinctly remember calling for Lizard Squad's execution back when they brought PSN down with a DDoS back in December... clearly my instructions went unheeded, or else we wouldn't be having this discussion here today.

Started lagging horribly in T13, so logged out and restarted PS4. Now currently unable to sign-into the PSN. Static is going to have to replace me for the day :(

Oh, seems they decided to cancel. Now I feel bad and blame whoever is DDoSing PSN :/

The lag started at 1am gmt then it got better . I woke up this morning and I had no issues logging in. But it takes ages for the ff xiv launcher to fully pop. This been happening to me after the HOTFIX from Thursday.

I'm on Ps4

Getting error 5006 when trying to connect to the EU data centres. Can connect to the JP ones with no issue but I cant log onto the EU ones -.-

Getting the 5006 error for the Primal data centre currently. Haven't tried other data centres yet.

Tried the Elemental data centre. Got in just fine. Tried Primal again and got hit with 2002. No idea what to do .-.

I can't even get into the Loadstone... The Mog Station tells me there's a connection error when trying to display my character information.

This is annoying, i cant even start the launcher, it says i need the promotional codes and then "impossible to connect to the PSN", even though im signed in...

Theres no error codes or anything and my sub is still active. Dunno what to do. T^T

I could get online on PS3, well I could launch into FFXIV and get on Square's game servers anyway - this was about 12ish at lunch time today :)
I just launched XIV from my recent games/apps tab on the PS3 menu, black PSN log-in came up I clicked to sign in and few moments later FF log-in screen :)

PSN is so unstable. This is why I buy all my online games for PC. Buying them for the PS4 serves no real purpose as PSN has went down without further warnings countless times since I got the PS4. What an expensive brick of waste.

+ PSN games are garbage.

PSN goes down on June 19th for any reason I say we storm all buildings Sony owns and demand they use their time machine we all know they have and make them go back and remove psn sign in requirement

Odd I have had zero issues :x

i play on ps4 i have had no issues whatsoever ;/ i never lag eithier (except chocobo racing) and im australian so we always have pretty bad internet speeds :/
