I have a tremendous amount of fun playing FF14 since 1.18. I would like to donate some money to SE on behalf of FF14. Is there a way to do this? I've looked and can't find it.

I'm sure they would appreciate your kind offer. Although turn your offer down, in a nice way.
You could always just buy crysta I suppose?
Crysta that is under account managment isn't it? I saw the icon but never clicked it.
I'll take the donations :D
I did, I bought FFI and II on my cell phone >.>;
A corporation is best encouraged by the purchase of their products.
Rather than donate, buy those games you want to see them making more of.
I barely have enough time to play this game. And I have bought pretty much all the products I could since I start earning my own money (pretty much FF7+). I'll look around and see what I can do.
I would donate, maybe even 200 dollars if i though it would help.
Yea I was thinking 50 upfront and then 15/mo like a normal MMO.
Just buy more copies of FFXIV from the store...
The game starts looking pretty good when it sells out. ;)
Then stores will start looking into restocking it (or the PS3 version when it comes out).
Which means more money to SE in the FFXIV bucket.
I definitely was NOT meaning 200 a month.=) Maybe if we did the 50/15 Paradigm, we would get something like the garlond goggles.
Zant, the sad thing is that no store within 75 miles of me sells it. They've all given up on selling FF14.=(
I don't think any of us expects to fund the next expansion but support is support.
buy copies of the game and then give them to people you know.
how bout you buy the 140bucks in prepaid game time i have, then u can use it for crysta. that way i can worry bout buying it later:) for same price as store:) /tell lol
I have a fealing that if i did go buy the last one somewhere, they just wouldn't buy any more. My Mom's boyfriend works in the electronics at wall-mart. He said the minute they sold the last FF14, they put Cataclysm in it's spot.
Wall-mart is not selling copies. It's a shame that they don't want to gamble with games other than Wow. =(
Yeh sorry Rinoa, i did a booboo and quoted the wrong person. :D
Eugenics, actually i probably messed up. I keep jumping from thread to thread and I'm forgetting who said what.=)
I at least wouldnt mind start paying a monthly fee as of today. The game has given me alot of fun in the 2,5 months ive been playing so far. Sure the game isnt perfect, but even WOW isnt perfect either. It also has a lot of bugs, pve/pvp class balance issues, lack of world immersion and player intercation. And it has had 7 years to finetune the game and yet its not perfect. :p
But I am pretty sure once Yoshi-P and his team gets enough time and support from us as players instead of hammering em with this and that suck posts on Forums. Imagine if you yourself was at work and even after doing the best you could, your customer said your service sucked. If you hear that enough, it could eventually break your spirit. I know I wouldnt like my job if the only feedback I got was all negative.
I also wouldnt mind donating money to SE, but I have done what others have already mentioned and bought about 8 extra copies of the game and handed it to people I know who plays WOW, in hopes they will come join me on my server someday ^^
To SquareEnix and Yoshi-P Devteam. Thank you so much for Final Fantasy 14.
Sincerely
Altera Cephon
Saronia ^^
u people are just crazy, this game ain't worth paying for now any more then it was a year ago. people who think yoshi is doing anything more then giving as many people a little something that will make them say ok i'll pay some monthly are diluting themselves.
everything that was making this game great got removed, everything that needs to be added hasn't yet. i think some of u's just enjoy handing your money away to people. i guess u used to paying monthly for aol chat or something.
this game is not ready to charge. ...b4 they say we want your money even if it's not in the game yet, we need a time line of what is being added, specially endgame wise if it not gonna be there b4 payments are asked for. i won't pay a penny till i see another list of guarantee things that are on it's way that is worth paying monthly for. all mmo's you know what u'r getting for most part by time they launch. this game needs to be the same, it already bad enough that many of us feel like we are being dragged on playing without a real inkling if endgame will be worth playing.
Weeble. the first sentance of the second paragraph, I agree (to an extent) with that.
I am pretty new to this game, so could the ones whos played since launch etc please write down the things Weeble says was removed from the game, that made this game great?
And WOW and Blizzard is just the same as to not letting people know if Endgame content is worth playing. I feel WoW has a lot of issues as well. The game has no endgame content except Raid or PVP, not much you can do if you just wanna do solo stuff. Class balancing is a constant rollercoaster of highs and lows.
Thanks to Random Dungeon Finder and upcoming Raid Finder, the interaction between players on the Server you are diminisces by alot, since all you do is click I, select role, Heal/Tank/DD and sit in Stormwind until RDF has found 4 other players and instantly portals you inside the dungeon. Leveling new characters is so fast that you end up skipping past several maps since you are so high leveled you gain very little from questing.
In my opinion, WOW shouldnt be Pay to Play.
And I know I am comparing FFXIV vs WOW when they arent similar, but its just because majority of people call WOW the most finely tuned MMO on the market. Which I dont find true personally. I am having much more fun playing FFXIV then when I played WoW for 6 years. I kinda wish today I rather picked up FFXI instead of WoW.
If people hate FFXIV as much as I see many people write here on forums, why dont you do the same as what I did with WoW and find another game that is more suiting for you?
Altera, the main thing that i will miss is when a Dodo would follow you. It was just a simple aspect of the game that made it more real. I will also miss the stamina bar/ crafting UI/Physical Levels (those are going away right?). But the game will probably be ok without them(except for the enemies following you). I've only been playing since January(1.15) So you don't have to take my input if i haven't been playing long enough. =)
also we had 15man grind parties(could of done with less too but you could and was fun and worth doing), the battle system was made so if u afk in group no sp ..aka pl's an duel boxing was done away with. only way to be cheap bout ranking was if you botted.
what rinoa mentions too i like the animals following people, i also liked the stamina and no auto attack, though i did think it needed huuuge fixing too. but i would of liked the direction it was at if fixed too. it in general felt like it was going in a great direction for players like me when it first came out. i don't solo nor ever really want to, least not in a game that had 15man groups in it, for that we can all go to upcoming mmo's that will be packed with content and a game made for pvp not a game that is adding it cause they know there are moving in a direction that they have to add it. /etc /etc.
By animals following you, as in after you started attacking them or just out of curiosity cause you smell nice cause of the Pixie Plums in your pocket^^
Even if is was because you started hitting it, and you are about to die so you run away. Even I in real life wouldnt bother chasing after someone for eternity. And I can kinda see a small downer about loosing physical rank, but its not going to break the game for me. If the new system works out better then we think, then I probably would stop missing it.
But who knows what will be released down the line. Maybe an updated version, who knows. All I know after playing WOW for 6 years, is that developers are very tightlipped when it comes to updates/changes. And what I hated about WOW mostly was that my class could be capable to deal as much dmg as then next class if played properly, but then nerfed bigtime due to whiners doing PVP and I either had to reroll and level a whole new class just to maintain a position in the raiding guild.
Heck you even had to select the best 2 crafting professions on your main character due to heavy Min/Maxing, and if you wanted to do all professions available, it would take about 3-5 alts, all leveled to 85 to do have access to every professions.
I dont think personally there is any other MMO out on the market that gives me such a complete fun experience overall.
Well, im gonna log back into the game and do some NM hunting^^ Have fun all and stop worrying too much about things that isnt set in concrete yet :)
Buy all the copies you want straight from www.finalfantasyxiv.com then the money goes directly to SE.
Though I wouldn't really know much about it, they're currently letting everyone play this game for free, so they must have enough money to be able to keep the servers running without receiving monthly subscriptions.
That being said, buying some of their other products is another way of actively donating to the company. Figurines, DVDs, games and all sorts of other things work.
Try out Final Fantasy 5, which sort of operates on the early single-player version of FFXIV's 'armory system', you can get it for the PS1 along with Final Fantasy 4, under the title Final Fantasy anthology.
Alternatively if you wanted to donate to the anime side that Enix operates, there's the Pani Poni Dash series on DVD, which is pretty funny and great fun to watch.
Buying their stuff let's them know that you like what they make, and helps fund them into making more of that stuff for you to enjoy :D
Im also using the remaining subscribtion fee on WoW to look on their forums for players whos bored and describes why they are bored. And if what they is what FFXIV can offer, then I'm trying to give FFXIV a fair chance.
I am also trying to get my own friends to at least try it. They say they dont like WOW as much anymore, but its just boils down to they dont want 6years of making up their character to got to "waste". And to have to start from scratch.
Btw, Konachibi. Adorable signature ^^ Cute
Thanks ^.^
I tried to drag quite a few people over to FFXIV from Warcraft, mostly my guild and one of my rl friends. None of them accepted though since most are more looking forward to Star Wars: TOR, plus a fair few of them were elitists that only care about end-game content in mmo's and not the adventure and journey involved in getting there, which is where FFXIV truly shines.
Tbh I was looking forward to Star Wars: TOR too till I played this for the first time, now, those kinds of mmo's don't interest me, I like the pace this one moves at and the characters involved.
And making cute signatures out of them XD
I wont donate, but would happily pay for more storage.
Yeah the whole immersion of traveling through the world is what hooked me instantly. Every single player ive interacted with so far has been kind in return. I also remember getting on the ferry in Limsa Lominsa by mistake on my first day, and just loved that they included the travel instead of showing the Indiana Jones red dotted line from A to B.
In wow, everything is all about doing things quickly, level up, grind dungeons to be best geared possible. I have been like that myself for 6 years, spending 4 days a week raiding 4hours just to get best item level gear and then just waiting around for months for new raid content.
Professions is a joke, since there is too much Min/Maxing going on. Like me as Unholy DK has to choose either Jewelcrafting and Blacksmithing since they gave the most bonus stats. I like to do professions when im tired of doing quests all day.
I remember back in March when I bought a new mobile phone, and there was a trailer for FFXIV on it and I was so excited cause I knew then I may have stumbled upon my new MMO ive been looking for since Cataclysm only brought boredom.
BUT i misread the release date. I thought it was Sept 30 2011, so I spent 2 months waiting until the day I talked about FFXIV with a fellow WoW player and thats when I saw it was already out. I have never gotten into my car faster to get to first game store to buy a copy, and now my DK and Warlock is collecting dust in Blizzards storage bank:)
I know my writing can be very messy, but english isnt my native tongue, its norwegian ^^ So I apologize if what I write is hard to understand hehe
Cataclysm did pretty much kill Warcraft, too much hype for 5 new zones and 3 new raids, now it's bleeding players left, right and center.
Not that I'm complaining. Because Cataclysm killed the game, I moved here, and discovered a better and more fun way to play online, which also improved my mood too, (elitists get angry at noobs for doing noobish things, I get angry at elitists for being pig-ignorant, least to say I spent quite a lot of time being angry :p), and a few other players I've spoken to moved here when Cataclysm took WoW down the slimy slope to slimesville, so you could technically say Blizzard donated to FFXIV by killing their terrible game with a terrible expansion pack XD
what is wrong with you people???? you don't reward people for making a craptastic game and then who move at a snails pace trying to cover up the old crap while making slightly better crap at the same time. there is a reason this game is FREE TO PLAY - GET A CLUE!!!!! And please spare me and the rest of the sensible people from your white-knighting, were just not interested.
