I'm really happy about this. Personally I find monk armor sets fugly and I find that sad to know that some ninja armor sets are shared with monk armor sets, so I could not get the soldiery set for my ninja, or any shared monk/ninja sets. So I've decided to get the poetic ninja set for my ninja instead. I'm almost finished, I only need the gloves and the sash, but I feel better knowing I will get it earlier than expected. I hope there will be more pure ninja armor sets in the expansion.

Awesome. Between my terrible luck with pony farming and Zodiac drops, I was already capped on poetics yesterday even though it just reset Tuesday.

Starting heavensward overgeared on all jobs -> speedruns on all dungeons starting at day 1 -> faster exp -> get the new level 55+ gears faster

Will people actually bother being up-to-date on gear in the 51-59 range? Nobody really seemed to care all that much 1-49. People only start really focusing on gear at the level cap, and what happens when you hit 60? You'll cap new tomestones faster but be forced to progress at much the same rate as everyone else... Only issue with that is if 50-60 takes more than a week.

I little boo for me. I cant cap at 900! o_O Dungeons sadly give same amount of poetic tomes and I just do 2 rouletes for around 95tomes per day(well not everyday - to much work).

I didn't want a real life anyways

Why would you want one of each item? Are you so iL-blind that you can't tell that some pieces of poetics gear aren't best-in-slot (nor are some dreadwyrm pieces, but that's beside the point)? The increase in cap is... unexpected, but it's not something to go nuts about.

I guess the issue is that with a 450 cap, you could pick up a tomestone and a carbontwine and still have one week's reward "spare" in the time it took to earn a weapon. Or you could buy a piece of armour every 1-2 weeks so again you'd have some spare weeks where you didn't really need any of the upgrade items. But now you can buy stuff faster than you can get the twine/coat if the weekly is your only source, and you're going to be lagging behind yourself in terms of upgrading items.

I'd be happy just to have a vendor that lets you exchange tomestones, carbontwine and carboncoat for each other, as I've got coats from previous weeks that I'll probably not end up using now, as all my spare poetics now are probably going to go towards weapons for whatever classes I manage to get to 50 before HW.

Here's to hoping WoD drops Carbon items in 2.58.

I'm a casual player who don't raid and I also like to play alot of classes, my Main (tank) is geared already but I wanna gear all my other classes too with decent gear. And 1 of each a week isn't that crazy IMO, people can already farm them from the Final Coil and Hunts anyway, why not make it so that its easier for more casual players to get them as well.

That's great news for me. I'm pretty new and just hit 50 a few weeks ago. I've done every dungeon and trial, so now I'm just working on the raids. I finished turns 6 and 7 yesterday and thought I was going to stall out while trying to grind for higher level gear. This increase will allow me to attempt some final coil by next week.

When is this supposed to take effect. I don't see any change yet.
