Do you think SE will overlook?

When 1.19 comes out and they allow any number of players to attack any given monster, do you think they will overlook the ridiculous party invite restriction we have in the game right now? I mean, what's the point of not allowing us to invite during battle after these changes?

What's the point of grouping in general with these changes...? Taking the uniqueness of party claim away from parties obviates the need for parties..

Wait, they're taking away monster claim?

Sorta. They are removing claiming but only the first group that hits it gets drops and XP.

So anyone else hitting besides the first group gets absolutely nothing.

Sounds like a prime way to encourage griefing. What the hell is SE thinking?

That is the million dollar question, atm the negatives I see far far out weigh the positive. Yoshida needs to explain why he done this, because atm I have yet to see 1 person think this is a good thing.

They should of just copied XI's system.

They had event everyone could fight in (campaign, besiged) and alliance of multiple partys..

This whole no claim system is just pure stupid. I will lead to people griefing.. it is a mmo endgame shells will not help each other they will kill each other. MMO 101 there.

they said that any other way for it to work with the new larger group content is to do it this way... or make 2 different systems for each ...and they don't want to make 2 systems. my guess is they make one and if they ever get this game off the floor they make another system if worth it to them.

i dunno really, i don't know jack bout what they do but that is what it sounds like to me. best solution for them. but i do see it being problematic in game. even the thought of all instance is problematic in it's own ways. the game is being molded around a cracked foundation if you ask me.

lol yeah that was wat i see happening 1 real group and another made to win the drops, but i might of missed some new info's on the claim system and dunno, the above persons on a post said first hit is still only one that gets drops. i still see problems happening though. like wipes cause idiots and mpk'ing and alot of fun stuff lol.

That's stupid. what is the point of that? Using that kill to NM's who for all we know will retain a separate claiming restriction (like they do now which is unique to them).

Certainly would be absolutely useless in XP Parties as only the engaged party gains XP.

If they can make it so NM's are unable to assisted currently when every other mob is, why could they reasonably not do that in 1.19?

Even if they did not implement this very simple fix to their system I hope you are using that scenario to farm for your gladiators/con's only because you still can't hand out drops outside of the party as far as I know. I wouldn't mind some zerg fights though, plenty of HNMls tried zerging in XI and plenty of them still wiped to Serket. I could live with Yoshi's motto of letting people play how they want, and are going to anyways: if they want to power level- fine, or zerg mobs-(assuming that is going to be allowed) then let them do it, at least finally linkshells with more than 8 people online could do stuff together until we get real alliance content.

Either way you cut it at least it's not Tanaka's "*&^% you go back to XI, this game is for casuals" mentality. I'll take "all inclusive" over exclude my playstyle any day.
