Ancient Giant Bird Mount!

Saw a chocobo looking creature on a MMORPG website and thought "Chocobo" when I saw it. http://scarletlegacy.gamescampus.com...edetail/1/4046 They got chocobos before us. =\

Wow, I can't believe that they have that and we don't...Still, nothing can pull me from FFXIV.

hahaha it is kinda funny in a way that a totally un related random game was able to implement a whole nother games flagship mount before that game.

shame on them for not making it different enough though, it looks like a half assed rework of a chocobo.
i remember a friend a few years ago showing me pics of some bad korean MMO with wolves almost identical to FFXI fenrir as well as a few other mobs in that game.
i wish i could remember that games name, the resemblances were uncanny.

To be fair, if we're getting horsebirds from another game, I've just seen a shot of one of XIII-2's chocobos, looks pretty cool:

Its not half assed, its not identical due to copyright crap and SE sue for breakfest.

problem .. they already have chocobo standing in cites .. mean no new design for it

you have terrible taste which completely lacks in artistic vision. your opinion is incorrect. yes it does look like a half assed chocobo (i can render one better myself) and i never said it looked identical or mentioned sueing over copy right issues....

as for that other no name game? yes they were practically identical and i wasnt the only one that thought so, trust me.
to the point to where we actually were kinda surprised SE either didnt know or didnt care.

I was expecting something that looked nothing like a Chocobo to then find out it looks exactly like a Chocobo.

The FFXIII-2 one looks awful. It reminds me of the oversized Grand Pecos from RO.

The FFXIII-2 one looked more like a giant rooster to me though I wouldnt go as far as to say awful, more like a botched synthesis. Bad but not too bad.

You of course realize that Square didn't originate the "horsebird" concept, right? Hiyao Miyazaki had them in Nausicaa way back in 82. Short of someone using the actual name and exact model of theirs, I don't see how Square could complain.

For me

Chocobos = peco peco

Ancient giant bird mount = peco peco

Hayao Miyazaki's bird = peco peco
