Have I botched my yoshimitsu?

Ok, so I'ma returning player who forgot exactly how the animus > novus step works and infused my scroll with 7 acc (thinking that I had to move down the line >.>). Have i screwed the pooch here? Or is it just a matter of adjusting gear later on to compensate?

You can change the stats at anytime. You talk to the dude near Mutamix to remove any stats you don't want. You will lose the materia and Alexandrite used to put those stats on though.

Bah. I suppose I should just bite the bullet and do it. Don't want to...but I want my weapon to be as perfect as it can be with all the damn work that goes into it.

I would say finish it as is first, that way you can start farming light and whatnot faster. Then as you acquire more materia & alexandrite after you can modify the stats by removing the old ones and adding the new ones one by one from that guy near mutamix.

You can restat the relic at literally any point afterwards (novus, nexus, zodiac, zeta)

Yep. I did Accuracy to cheap into a Novus, and I'm slowly (so slowly) replacing it with Crit/Det on my Sasuke's Zeta. I should start spiritbinding again.

I believe stats can also be changed at Zeta stage
Changing the 7 acc to det or crit will really not make a huge difference but do it when you could afford it.
High chances of failure can be had when melded the IV material, i have lost a few on my Bard and some on my blm Relic

Is this all still worth doing?
I'm back from a pretty long break.
The expansion is coming out soon and I read that the relic will be continued, but I was hoping there'd be some kind of catch up for returning or new players?

The Atma and Animus took quite a bit and now I've just got Ninja to 50 and there's 4 more steps!
Any news on if there'll be catch-up?
Did they raise the Atma drop rates?

There will be something of a boost/bonus, but only for pre-existing zeta relics. So you won't get anything for a novus.

The atma drop rates was increased substancially, cost of books is overall less, even lights (to get Nexus) has been increased.
Pre drop rate increase it had taken me 3+ months for all 12 atmas, now when Ninja came out i had all 12 in less then a week, and got up to Animus in a span of about 2 weeks
The Relic (Zeta) will be relevant until 3.1 or later if i recall so there is time

Depending on what your plans are in game there's nothing wrong with some acc.

I had a NIN in my static who put spellspeed on his weapon to get to light farming quickly, and he still had some remaining after he got his Zeta because he was so poor. It became a running joke for a while.

No you haven't. TBH I think the Ninja BiS actually has ACC on the weapon if you need to hit 535 ACC.

Is there a guide for what stats to put in?

If you can afford to use Flint Caviar in t13 then I think you can cap it at 16 ACC. If not and want to use Risotto I believe it's 32. You should sacrifice the crit to do this. There is a way to reach it the cap w/o putting acc on your weapon and still be a viable build but it requires Dreadwyrm pants which ironically drop from the turn you're trying to reach cap for. This is all IIRC. I'm no Ninja expert. There is a thread called Ninja Superthread that has a lot more/better info than I would ever be able to provide.
